Birthday present for myself as it is discounted on Steam. First From Software game I've ever played. No Lasagne, now no From games? I'm going to insist that you stay with me for a week if you ever come back to the UK so I can treat you right I've reinstalled this after a stutterstart on release. I've got another spare week or two and I'm bored as all hell. The rugby is rubbish and I'm half arsing my 7th run through Elden Ring because I only have one other thing to do No not that.

I think someone should create a boys wank club thread to keep it all there. Seems to spill into nearly every topic.

This sounds lovely actually. Danno making me a lasagne whilst I play AC.

Well, I've been enjoying the training mission. Hint: Don't forget that you have a melee attack. I'm taking the piss a bit because I did actually manage it last night and got through a few a more missions. Did take me a while though. My main issues are managing my booster level and getting the knack of the controls. I would normally play any third-person game with a pad, but mouse and keyboard feels more appropriate for this.

I'm the opposite tbh, but that probably goes back to FROM's first PC port (Dark Souls PTD) and being a console whore in general.

This is pretty good so far. I’ve done the training and the first two levels. Bit too much going on for my brain but I hope I will get used to the various boosters and moves asap. The visuals are better than I had anticipated from a from software title. That helicopter killed me a few times but was destroyed as soon as I realised I had to fight it with my sword. As Lizard said above so far I have found keyboard and mouse much better, sure there are many key presses but the aiming on pad was pretty painful.

I’ve maybe completed 8-10 missions now and I like it. The combat is fast and fun but I wish it was more like open world rather than these quick fire missions with no soul. Just all feels empty but the combat is slick and I enjoy customising the AC. I haven’t hit a road block yet where I’ve had to go back and respec to get the mission done but I’m sure that will change soon.

I nearly came on here earlier to ask tips for the final boss of the first act. So many attempts but finally got it. Those bloody flame swipes were doing my head it. I had to quit out and change every weapon to get it done. The big fire tank on the next level wasn’t as bad thankfully. He went down second go by just staying above it as much as possible.
A bit like all From Software titles the rage is real but also the satisfaction after the rage. As I said before I don’t like the mission structure at all, feels totally lifeless and disjointed just like nioh games because of it.
