Ave it Pieta you beeotch. Get in! Tips? Going to have another go at her (ooo err) later tonight. Just slow and steady really. You can block almost everything if you're willing to risk the wither; don't use all your healing before your first death; watch out for the grab. It's very Dark Souls - the wither damage increases the temptation for 'one more hit', but don't overreach and you'll be fine. |

I'm on PS5, it seems okay. There is a weird point on a flight of stairs that stutters, but in general I'm not massively sensitive to such things. Definitely steer clear of quality mode though.

Huh. So a few of the reviews I read negatively remarked on vestige seeds, and how pointless they are specifically because they are so rare. So creating your own checkpoint is pointless. Fairly sure the EG one mentions it.
Erm
There’s a merchant I’ve just found in the hub that has an infinite supply. And they are cheap as hell.

I suspect they're more significant in NG+, I gather they limit them and you need to choose carefully when to use them.
I saw one review complaining about the uber instakill mimics (fair enough) and how there's no way to spot them... and two videos where you can quite clearly see the difference. You need to pay attention of course, but that's the point in these games.
Also, Umbral can be pretty hairy.

I read that the xbox patch would take a number of days but it already seems better. I don't know if this was just a preliminary patch.
It's all stupid and annoying but at least it feels playable now.

Early days for me and despite the improvements there's a lot to sort out with this version. But it's giving me that special vibe that really good soulsbornes do: completion absorption, risk / reward, terror I'm going to fuck it up, creeping round corners, praying the next bonfire is coming up. And then YAAASSS, there you are. Thank fuck. I hope they iron things out soon as this could be really excellent. I'm enjoying the aesthetic, the dual worlds, the beefiness / FOV, the rolling / dodging, the heft of the combat. And being a pyromancer, advanced class my arse. |

Now I freely admit that I have a tendency to get over excited but… I fucking love this. The environment is on a par with bloodborne for me so far. They’ve really gone to town on the dark fantasy look.
