Couple of good games this morning including a solo mission on challenging difficulty clearing out Automaton fuel reserves. Hopefully servers are a bit better tonight, would be good to get some FG games going. Doing solo missions on challenging in Automaton planets? That is a impressive. We tried a medium defense, evac scientist one and it was absolutely insane. Drop ships coming in every minute, just so many bots about and not surprisingly, we failed. I might be on early evening but going out later. I managed to log on again late last night about 10:30 and it really wasn't too long to wait to get in, about 5 or 6 minutes. |

gibroon games starting to really click now and really enjoying it. That particular mission I had 3 minutes left on the clock on a 40 minute mission and no respawns left!!

Damn privatefloyd...do you ever play with people who are a lot crapper than you are?  If so, I'd be happy to join you, will likely be on at some point later after cooking dinner. Basically, I'm going to be on every day until a) I get sick of it (doesn't feel likely yet) b) Shadow of the Erdtree comes out. I'm not really feeling the Automaton missions, though. I don't know if it's bad luck in terms of the ones chosen but I've been obliterated the last couple of times I've tried them - they are just so relentless, there's no let up. |

privatefloyd I think it is maybe specifically the defend scientist for evac one that is bothersome. A pal and myself did the first part of the 2 missions no bother, it was a standard ICBM one on medium and it was absolutely fine. Then poor FlexibleFeline joined for the evac one and it was completely mental for medium difficulty. I have a world event thing to do 8 defence missions but you need to do both parts. If you fail 1, it means a fail for a completed defence mission. There are a few comments online about how difficult they are to do and to be honest I think they need some proper strategies to complete them. This is where we fail, haha.

I found the matchmaking was working flawlessly for me last night. Was going difficulty 5 stuff with randos and had a good ol time.

Just had a mission where the extraction ship got confused and hovered over a rock, rather than picking us up. Went out in a blaze of glory (or I would have, I got bored and quit).

Playing about 6 missions last night on suicidal and the only time we find a super sample rock with the three pinks on it is on the mission that we don't even complete. Those fucking samples are a pain in the arse.

Two missions that me and my 2 friends just completed on Suicide were so much fun. So much to love about this so far. It's so much fun and all the development effort is in the right places. |

First string of Helldive difficulty missions done and the final extract left as I was trying to get on when there was still plenty of time! I think the LZ being covered by about 3 Bile Titans may force Pelican-1 to leave, I'll have to watch the footage.

I am likely getting the game next week for my new PC so I’m hoping by then the issues I have read about have all gone. I am ready to bring peace and freedom to the galaxy. I did manage to get in! Was about 6pm, a bit earlier than I'd been trying before so not sure if things have changed or if it was just a quieter time. Only had time for training and the first mission which was mega basic... But first impression is that it feels good to play. Looking forward to spending a bit more time in it! |

They’ve increased the player cap to 700,000 this weekend (450,000 last weekend), though they’ve said they are expecting to reach it again. Should alleviate a lot of the issues though.

Last night was the first time this week I've launched and got straight into the game and quick play has instantly found me other players. Great stuff.

Completely agree with the praise . Few games hold my interest for long these days but this is brilliant. I really hope they support it with new stuff for quite a while .
The player base is pretty friendly with the randoms I’ve played with apart from someone last night calling me a fucking dick for dropping a resupply nowhere near him. After we had killed both the big spider bastards , we had about 30 seconds to get to the extract with the stratagems frozen so I sprinted it to survive it and he kicked me for it ! 🙄

I watched my son take on a bile titan this morning - tough enough but there seemed to be eight or more chargers in the level too!
I'm tempted to move up to level 4 but think I need to do a few more missions on 3 first.

Once you've taken the face off a bile titan with a railgun a few times they become a lot less of a threat, having at least a couple of them and orbital railcannons in the squad pretty much neutralises them. Chargers are still a PITA when they're in numbers, there's also some charger variants showing up too in the harder difficulties, seen the ones with blades on the top and there was one with stripes in a mission last night too.
