Ah man, that was fucking great. Think he took me maybe 12-15 goes? Genuinely cool fight and a really satisfying kill. The DLC was just amazing, so glad I went back to play through it. Was pretty hilarious moping up Gehrman and Moon Presence after, felt almost like killing regular mobs lol.
What a game. A genuine classic. Now I need to start again, because I fucked up Eileen’s quest and I’m missing that totally boss stamina rune.

Plus you really need to - for completions sake of course - kill the queen...
Kos is fucking brilliant though, no doubt about that.

Kos is very very much not brilliant. He is a ******* ****. Especially in his second phase..never ever enjoyed that fight. Loved two dlc bosses though, no not lava crawling bastard. Very much one of the best games ever made though.
Ps the boardgame is a also brilliant.

I hated him with a passion. Just wanted it over.
Then again, I view all souls bosses like that.
I am starting to miss the levels of bloodborne. It's definitely one that I haven't returned to for a long time.

I did a wee bit of chalice dungeoning at the w/e as my boy was on the hunt for gems so thought I would join him. Managed to make a 4 layer Isz that had Ebreitas at the end. Her big spongey face was no match for my bowblade as I just shot her to death. That weapon is immense. Switching between that, the bloodletter, the rifle spear and the saif. The saif doesn't get enough love, it's a horribly effective weapon, particularly if you bolt or fire paper it. The speed with it's transformed mode is just stupid, and the untransformed massive arcing swings decimate grups of mobs like the blue goobers. Weirdly, I'm still finding new things down in these dungeons I've never seen before. Just discovered a bell that, upon being hit, drew a brainsucker to me from half the map away. Shat myself. Also, those big fireball shooting flower cunts can apparently spawn on the ceiling. Nearly level 200 with this guy so just bringing my arcane up now. He started as a bloodtinge build and now he's Barry Everything.
To be honest, I think I could just play the chalice dungeons from now until ever more. That is Bloodborne to me now. It's the only place I spend any time.
What would be awesome is if they had something similar in Elden Ring, but I don't think they do. I would be happier than a multi-eyed cosmic boar in shit.

The author states that FromSoftware, Sega, and SECA are not affiliated with the project in any way.

Yep! I said the same thing when the original teaser footage was shown. Nightmare Creatures is already PS1 Blooborne!

Bloodborne is the only full game I own digitally on PSN, so I downloaded it to my new PS5 last night. When I subscribed to PS+ I was pleasantly surprised to find all my old cloud saves from 2015/16 still there to download, including all my old Bloodborne characters. Woo!
Just bought The Old Hunters DLC as I never played it, and spent 1/2 an hour trying to work out how to download it to my console. Couldn't figure it out. Just googled it and found out it was included in the base game I already installed yesterday, d'oh!
Not sure when I'll get round to playing it, but good to have it sitting there on the SSD for when I fancy it.

Old Hunters is well worth a play. Much more than just an added bit of DLC and has the most Lovecraftian area in the whole game

Started watching the below video. Interesting to see an environmental artist play Bloodborne for the first time (first From Software game even). Always fun to see someone discover SoulsBorne games for the first time and her profession means she should love what they do. Not watched a huge amount, but seems she is quickly picking up on bits and pieces that I definitely didn't take in first time around (she figured out the significance of the red lanterns from the second one she saw, for example). Seems like it will be a fun little series.
Only problem is that watching someone play Bloodborne always leads me to wanting to play Bloodborne. Must resist, so I can save all my From Software energy for next Friday. Perhaps when I'm done with Elden Ring I will jump back into Yharnam.

I was thinking I’d plat bb as my first ever plat trophy- but reading about the chalice boss one it seems like quite the faff? I don’t think I’ll manage that before Elden 💍

I very much enjoyed watching another “souls virgin” play through Basically all of them, I think starting with DS. He noticed and picked up on a ton of stuff I never did, but then overlooked other obvious stuff.

I don’t think I’ll manage that before Elden 💍 Depends whether you enjoy the dungeons or not. I love them (although Defiled held me back from Platting for a few years) so I was fine with it and, apart from a few materials you'll probably have to farm up its pretty straightforward

I enjoyed them too. As long as you fully complete each dungeon, you shouldn't have to farm anything. Pretty sure I didn't and I hate farming

That's why I've never played Farmville. Looks shit. All that farming

I just spend all my time in the dungeons when I play it these days. I love it down there. In the dark.

I did my very first one yesterday- the one that you get access to after bsb, I’m close to end game so very over levelled. Are they all random or was that curated somehow since it’s a “main” dungeon?

What is it that you like most about them? I’ve got no strong opinion based on the 3 levels I played, a bit unstructured perhaps. Been listening to bonfire side chat podcast and they were so extremely down on the chalice stuff I had to skip that episode because of all the whining

There's unique enemies and bosses down there you won't find in the main game
Personally I also really like the atmosphere. Some decent combat challenges as well
