Don't get me started on Sekiro. Ninja Gaiden meets Dark Souls meets Tenchu is like something I would pitch to anyone willing to listen in the pub, but AAARRRGH WHY DO I HATE IT

Most of Emma's attacks after she deflects you you can dodge behind her if you dodge at 11 o'clock past her. Then each time you get a free ichimonji double!! Occasionally she does a longer dash slash, your dodge will still avoid it but just be ready as straight after she misses you she will do a trust attack....which is perfect for a lovely juicy mikiri counter followed immediately by another ichimonji double! Hopefully doing this after a few tries you can get to isshin without needing to heal.

Edit..if I remember I'll beat her tomorrow morning and upload the clip as that probably isn't that clear what I mean.

Because you fear/don't understand it. I don't even like the setting or ninjas or any of that stuff, but the gameplay is brilliant and I can't think of another game like it. It's hard to remember how difficult it was the first time (same with any From game really) but when I finished it, I definitely had that Best Game Ever feeling. You really have to be invested though, if you're just trying to get through it, I can see it being an exercise in pure frustration. You need to be like bichii, trying to become one with it so there is no longer a divide between you and the game, you just exist as one

I have no idea how many playthroughs I've done. Enough to know the layout of the whole game and locations of practically every enemy and item. I could be a Yharnam tour guide (or taxi driver)
