That’s not great advice for royalty. You want to be sinking everything into vitality, intelligence and magic and a few into endurance to allow you to block and do like four or so sword swipes.
You don’t need to sink anything into getting the bow because you can hit at range with magic.
Don’t sink anything into faith, it’s a waste.

That’s if you want to optimise the character that is. Pure magic is not easy mode but it is a fair bit easier than any other build I’ve tried.

Bit of dex is always warranted for a bow. Even if you're not using it to kill at range it's great for pulling and breaking groups up

Is it me or is the target range a bit more finickky in Demon Souls? I swear it range was longer in Dark Souls.
Magic seems to be great for most mobs but for some reason my brother keeps jumping into them for his soul arrows. He also still struggles with the camera often and has never once looked at his stamina bar.....
Maybe a bow would help with pulling mobs, but well he also switches slowly between weapons. How this man was able to beat Devil May Cry 5 on normal I have no clue.
Truethfully he seems more at ease at Bloodborne so far due to the lack of shields.

I always liked a sticky bow on the OG game, dead easy to get it to S dex scaling right near the start of the game

Is there some bow that scales with magic before the mid game?
I see the lava bow is that option, any good experience with that bow?

Yeah lava bow isn't bad to start with. The only thing with it is that it has a knock back effect so things will go out of range if you're sniping outside their aggro range. It's fine if there's a wall or something behind them but anything out in the open will get pushed out of range. Just something to bear in mind

I never bothered much with boss soul weapons. What ones are worth doing? Going to fuck about with this NG+3 character a bit and maybe start collecting all these coins. I've got the machete thing but that's about it.

Firestorm kicks arse if you have Magic and Int but it takes 3 slots. I’m one shotting Bosses with it in NG. It’s from Dragon God via Yuria, so a bit of a faff, but with it imo

Yeah, so what you need is a bow So as a Knight I'm guessing you are fat rolling around really slowly? Have you tried taking all your armour off to see how fast you roll with no equip load penalty? |

quadfather I just got a bow, I should remember to equip it. Yeah, tbh the roll seems SO slow that I've mostly been blocking and manually dodging/flanking. So far, I've put my level points into vitality, stamina and dexterity, I think. No, haven't tried without armour. Hadn't thought about it, I probably get nicked too much.

Ok, well endurance ups your equip load as well as providing more stamina. Both of which are vital. I'd say its probably the most useful stat. But you could wear lighter armour or take bits off until you get enough stamina. It makes a hell of a difference with your mobility

Haha. Well the curiass will be the heaviest but maybe gloves and hat? It works on a threshold basis, and the optimum is 25%, see what it says on the stat screen compared to what you're lugging around in.
Trying to think of starter tips. There's loads, but it depends what you want to know really.
Oh, don't consume boss souks just yet, as they can be used for unique stuff later on

E2a: just tried some rolling in the starting area. The only thing that really seems to help is taking the cuirass off.

Also, there's a raggedy set of armour in the first level that's much lighter. However you need to be a female character to wear it.
