Yeah and if I remember correctly, if you kill phalanx and the dragon, is that enough of a white tendency change to open the gate at the start of 1-1? Or do you still need to do the tower Knight?

Oh, that reminds me. I jumped into the pit with the blue and orange streamy lights, quadfather. I died instantly, as soon as my feet left the stones. Also, it looked a VERY long way down. |

Avoid that hole as it's a trap lol I did the same thing first time. That hole is just there to look down at where the gate at the start leads to when you get it open.
I think you do need to kill Tower Knight as well as red dragon to get to PWWT but if you've died in body form once or twice you do have to just crack on. Even if you are lucky if you're online you could be screwed out of it anyway due to the server WT, unless they don't do that in the remake.

I have died in human form twice. Once at the very beginning and once when I fell off the ledge by the Monumental having just been resurrected.
Since then, I've basically stayed in soul form.

The first time during the intro, with the boss I'm guessing you can't do anything about? And the second in the Nexus just after beating the Phalanx. "I wonder what is over that ledge? Also, I have 45 arrows (and isn't the arrow animation great?). So I'm going to be needing A LOT more to shoot down the dragon.

If you have a few hours to kill, you can also do it with the soul arrow if you have any points in magic at all.
But the easiest thing is to run across and hug the right wall. The cart gives you just enough cover to get your breath back and kill the archers.

All you gotta do now is kill the tower Knight in 1-2 (tip, go up first and take out the archers first), and then whizz back to nexus, kill yourself, pick up your souls again, level up/spend and then start 1-1 again from the start and go through the now-opened gate on your left. Bingo. |

You can time all 3 runs across the bridges. It's tight at the end as you say, you'll be out of stamina and probably half health, but just keep your cool, and you can do it.
Or buy a shit load of arrows

I haven't actually turned the machine on today, don't really want to add to the heat. |

I'm trying to think how I do it. I think I run the initial bit to get out the dragons reach, then really really quickly stop to regain stamina/heal if possible and then I run past all of the goons and get into the passageway. Then I turn round and take them out. You have to be careful to not go too far into the passageway otherwise you'll aggro the second blue eyed Knight Something like that anyway |

Did you not pick up the thief ring? That should allow you to kill the archers are the end of the third bridge without agroing the blue eye knight so long as you don't enter the doorway, at least it did for me.

The easiest thing, honestly, is to kill the archers and run/roll past those guys. If you hang a right, you can go up a level to kill some archers and take time to get your shit together to kill them or just leg it past them to the boss.

If you stop sprinting just before your stamina runs out you can start sprinting again without waiting for it to fully fill again as that only happens when it hits empty. Might already know that but if not it should help manage it a bit.

And to do that, wait till he's about to smash his shield down and then leggit up the staircases to take out the archers. Then either ranged assault or go down and to toe to toe, focusing on his ankles
