I'd be moist for a Bloodborne remake which is vastly more likely than anything dark souls as that's the other Sony exclusive. You need to put this nugget of info in the dating thread to give some advice to those that keep getting it wrong Who knew it was so easy to woo the ladies? Yeah, that's quite a big one. I think it's mainly the ones that have specific weapons that are in small areas. Like the Istarelle and the dragon bone smasher etc. Totally forgot about that area in 1-1. That's Rob's favourite area, isn't it Rob?  Balder side gate  |

I rolled a dark souls character a few weeks ago. Took master key, ran all the way to the black knight in the basin. Kicked him off the edge, and bing, Black Knight Halberd immediately.
Sigh. I spent YEARS trying to farm that fucking thing!

Upgraded my ps plus to extra yesterday so might fire this up tonight. How difficult is it to transition back from Elden Ring? Also got to remember some of the npc stuff. Like keeping whatshisface alive in 1-1 . |

Not sure what to play as either. Maybe magic, not sure I’ve ever done that. I guess that means a suicide run into 4-1. Probably worth doing that regardless I suppose.

No suicide run needed, magic is really overpowered - perfect for a quick blast through the game. Can’t remember what the starting spell is but it mows down enemies, including that black skelly.
edit, I haven’t played the new version so maybe that’s been tweaked.

I went magician and did the tutorial. The flame toss spell seems pretty powerful. Got a few hits on the vanguard demon and actually did a fair amount of damage.

Funnily enough, I lent my mate my ps5 version of the demons souls remake and he's getting quite into it now. He's not played it before but has done dark souls, bb etc. I've been giving him bits of info and naturally, it's made me want to roll another character and then possibly coop with him. I've gone faith regeneration. Same build me and you did RobEG years ago. I've done a few hours now and got the adjudicator shield, rolled off wall to get regeneration ring and then did that bastard suicide run to get the mace. Fuck me, world 5 is a kick in the balls when you haven't played for a while and only level 13. But with that blessed mace and regeneration, I can take out the skeletons in 4-1 now, so farmed those twats for a bit, got evacuate and level 23. Hurrah! It's still ace. |

Its still a complete blast. That blessed mace not only does decent damage, but in the remake its got the most satisfying *whack* noise that just brings a smile to your face. It sounds so brutal - it's brilliant.
I'm still not super confident yet about farming the faintstone but there's tons to do, and it's lovely to be back whacking fuck out of stuff.

It is something else isn't it. I reckon I'm going to stick with it too. I've got a winged spear at +4 for annoying thin corridors but I haven't really needed it yet.
Got a short compound bow at +6 too, so once I've done flamelurker (haha), I'll upgrade that once more and turn that into the lava bow and I reckon I'm set!

Apparently a blessed claymore is the business too, but I never seem to play nicely with claymore's for some reason.
Just so much easier to grab the mace though, and then you don't have the faff of upgrading a standard weapon to +6 before you can bless it

Claymore has always been a staple for me since Demon’s - I love it. Although I hardly used it in Elden Ring, did most of the game with bloodhounds fang plus that golden halberd you get from the horse guy at the start

Trouble is, I'm unemployed like you as well, and typically, my ps+ sub ran out a month or so ago and it's a bit costly to renew with bugger all cash. Playstation emailed me in Jan saying they'd had a system error and couldn't renew my subscription. Fuck knows why as I'd cancelled it anyway. But they're saying if I want to rejoin I can get 35% off which will automatically be taken off the price on checkout.
Except it hasn't reduced the fucking price on checkout. Sigh.
