Yeah, just seen that the campaign overview is imminent today. Fingers crossed, as I'd genuinely almost forgotten than it was going to have one lol

As much as I loved my time with the prerelease MP weekends, the campaign is closest to my heart and will be my go to game mode until it is completed on legendary, maybe even a second 'cool down' run on heroic.
Damned shame I won't be able to play co-op with my kids until next year though.

Fingers crossed here also. I'm not expecting the heights of Halo 3 but I just hope 343 have learned from the disjointed mess of the Halo 5 campaign, that was the lowest point of the whole series for me (campaign wise) so things can only get better. Hopefully.

Looks like Ubisoft: Combat Evolved.
Could be good, but I don't know if it's going to change anyone's minds about the game. The multiplayer beta probably did a better job at that.

I like the look of this, seems like it's really leaning into the sandbox nature of the series. I'm in. It also looks massively better than visuals wise.

If nothing else, the opportunities for co op shenanigans (when it launches) look to be brilliant, as normal.

One incredibly lame explosion aside, I think this looks good and crucially, a lot of fun.
The promise of an open world Halo is huge - maybe too big to deliver on - but I can imagine spending hours messing around in the sandbox without working to objectives as such. Here's hoping they get that gunplay loop locked down.

Just watched the trailer. It looks good, but Jesus Christ, is it another Cortana story? Chief really needs to get over his VR waifu.

Given how 5 ended they couldn’t really ignore it, though. But I hope we get some sort of explanation of who “The Banished” are and what it means by “all your heroes are defeated”.

Recently played through Halo 5 coop with a mate. Never played it before, not even read anything about it but we thought the campaign turned to shite in the second half. Can't believe how badly it dropped off.

Yeah, this looks great fun. Although I think it always looked fun, I'm just glad it looks prettier now too.
It's nice to get a feel of how this game will play out. Almost a greatest hits Halo package in a more-or-less open world. I can see me returning to this constantly for half-hour sessions just taking down installations or murdering wildlife.

I’m sure I saw a rumour somewhere that Halo 5 wasn’t meant to be a “proper” halo game, it was meant to be more like ODST; a side story featuring that guy Locke. Then 343 got cold feet and had to shoehorn the chief in. Not that it excuses the dull campaign, of course. |

Looks like The Press have been given some access to the Halo Infinite Campaign, at least the first few hours of it. Coverage starting to appear on YouTube along with some initial impressions. Watched one this morning - sounds ok! The open world isn't full bore Ubiworld it seems, and the whole thing feels more curated than perhaps some people feared. Combat seems good. Visuals look... decent enough. Difficulty seems to build nicely, and the one boss fight mentioned sounds like a real gating encounter. So it has some teeth.
Shame there won't be co-op from launch, but I'm definitely a lot more excited now than I was yesterday.

I saw the ign one yesterday. Looked pretty decent from what I saw. Glad that it's actually semi open world and there was barely any icon bloat.

Rumours now of the MP going live on Monday to coincide with the 20th Xbox Anniversary. That would be a nice surprise. I am more interested in the campaign but did enjoy the tech test so would definitely dive in.
