Quest 3 via cable. It's very good for simracing. The pancake lenses are so good for seeing the in car dash. Everything is readable.

Just ordered myself some Chinese knock off Heusinkveld Ultimate pedals, the SimJack UT from AliExpress. Review here made me take the plunge www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRSeVetZ8dcCurrently got CSL Elite with load cell and they're basically fine, but I struggle slightly with smoothly releasing brake pressure for trail breaking and after buying an AliExpress shifter recently, I'm suddenly annoyed by how unnatural the clutch feels.

Alright. Anyone went from the t3pa to the T-LCM pedals? Are they worth the money?

Been really enjoying racing in VR to the extent that my triple screens have been dismantled and are going on eBay. I don't have the free time to justify iracing fees unfortunately so AMS2 has been the sim of choice but I have been missing the multiplayer element. Just tried www.racecraft.online which adds an iRacing-esque multiplayer platform for free. Obviously it's not as popular as iRacing but they fill the grids with AI. My first race was with a couple of randoms at Cadwell Park in the formula fords. All worked pretty smoothly and two of us were closely matched and had a race long clean battle. It was great! Needs more people so spreading the word. Low fuel motorsports do races for Assetto Corsa now that are quite good and free.

Alright. Anyone went from the t3pa to the T-LCM pedals? Are they worth the money? If you are on PC the pedals I mentioned above from AE are cheaper than those. £155 though presumably I'll be asked to pay VAT before they clear customs. So might be £190. Admittedly this is without a heel plate but it's easy to make one (my plan) or you can add theirs for another £50 or so. Still they should be levels above the T-LCM (or Fanatec equivalents) for roughly same price. Will share impressions when they arrive. If you don't want to trust AE have a look at the Simsonn Pro pedals which are listed on UK Amazon. Very similar. Only reason I'm going for the Simjack UTs is that the supplied elastomers are supposed to be slightly better.

I bought a G29 a couple of years ago along with next level racing wheel stand pro mainly for GT7. Then upgraded the brakes in the G29 with a TrueBrake kit. It had been an itch I’d wanted to scratch for years.
About to sell them on I think. Despite being pretty basic kit I enjoy using it but bizarrely it’s made me play racing games less just down to getting it out and set up and then putting it away. Then playing anything on a pad whilst you’ve got it just seems wrong.
Simracing is brilliant but it feels like you kind of need a permanent sim rig and then when you start spending that money it needs to be the only thing you do.

I definitely agree with that. It's a fairly expensive and impractical hobby, but still a lot less expensive and impractical than the real thing.
I started with an awful rubber band wheel thing for PS1 (F1 and TOCA) which was almost impossible to steer and I was a bit heartbroken and put off. A couple of years later my dad bought a Logitech Formula (the yellow one) for GPL and that really opened my eyes and made me a sim racer. Then progressed through the generations of Logitech wheels adding features until the G25 and PS3.
After that I spent ten years living in a tiny one bed flat so sim racing had to be sacrificed. I tried for a bit with a wheelstand Pro and my PS3/4 but a) the seating position in front of the TV never felt quite right (just compared to a desk clamp/pc monitor setup I was used to) b) console racing games are frustrating after PC sims c) I couldn't afford the cupboard space d) it felt like I lost half my gaming time to setup admin.
Our new house has a garden office (where my girlfriend is happy to let me store 'all my crap') so I could finally have a permanent setup. After that somewhat enforced break this makes me very happy, but even now I can go months without using it. If I was retired I'm sure I'd race all the time, but given I have maybe 4-6hrs a week of gaming time on average I quite often just prefer to prioritise something else. I just follow my moods.
At this stage in my life I'm fortunate that I can afford to have it sat there, and given that I've had this ridiculous hobby for almost 30 years I'm pretty confident I'll always get that urge to race every so often. It's a massive luxury for sure but that's how I justify it to myself.
