I don't know about anyone else but, because the EGL isn't my default, I often forget to check to see which games are currently free. So I thought if we had a thread dedicated to it, it would remind us, or me at least(lol), to know when the rotation happens and what is offered. And then we can come back here and discuss how we have far too many games in our backlogs and that we'll never actually play the games we've redeemed.

Could be worth consolidating all the free stuff into one thread - Epic, PSN and Gamepass Xbox Gamepass, Playstation Plus & Now, are different from Epic's offerings though as they are part of a subscription, so aren't inherently free. Whereas the EGS only requires the use of their launcher. |

Maybe also including any freebies that pop up on Steam, Humble, GOG etc. might be worthwhile though.
Quake 2 RTX version is free on GOG at the mo.

I get invalid CD key whenever I try to get Far Cry 3, also you have to download their launcher to even register it ...

Once you're logged in and you click "get it for free" it's added to your library, you don't have to download the launcher until you want to install it.

Yeah, that is pretty welcome. I got about mid way through Nioh on PS4, but would definitely give it another go on PC. I'm assuming it's buttery 60fps goodness on appropriate hardware?

Yeah, my Epic has grown particularly bad over the last few years with their free games: I genuinely cannot remember half of what I picked up there, which leads to bizarre moments where I inadvertently nearly double-dip on a Steam/GOG sale only to find I already have a copy on Epic.
