I found it interesting that Wild Card Football had a Parental Controls screen, but Fallout is apparently much less violent.

In case anyone else missed the memo, you can now play select games from your GOG library through Luna if you have a Prime (some) or Luna+ (more) subscription. I might finally get round to playing the original Witcher.

The Spirit and the Mouse is free on Epic.
Never heard of it, but it looks like a fun game. Good for kids too by the look of it.

Prime Gaming has more free games up now, and one of them is Doom Eternal, surprisingly enough. It's the Windows Store version, so you gotta deal with that, but hey. Free games.
Other games are coming up in the next weeks, including Plague Tale Innocence, Death's Door, Killing Floor 2, The Gunk, Scorn... not a bad lot overall.

Was Doom Eternal just for the Prime days? Just glanced now and didn't see it.

Their app doesn't show it for some reason (along with over 30 other games I was able to claim from the website). They really don't do a good job of making these free games visible.

Started Doom Eternal, and had my first crash about 30 minutes in. This sure isn't changing my mind about how crap Windows Store games are.

Mine frozen with all the graphics looking fried, closed it but then nothing else was working. I think it's cos I was pushing it to see how good it ran, fully maxed to the tits with RT and getting over 250fps but maybe too much. Locked it back to the screen refresh of 144 and its been fine ever since.

Music was still ongoing, and I managed to ctrl-alt-del out of the game and delete the process just fine. Of course, I shouldn't have to do that... In my case, I don't think the game was being pushed too hard. Even on the laptop, it looked like the frame renderer had some leeway yet. I don't know what black magic id Software must have worked with this engine, to look as good and run as well as it does at 1080p60 Medium even on a laptop GTX 1650 capped at 35W.

Kid Dracula (never released in English before) (NES?) Correct, the Game Boy version got a western release ( with some unfortunate imagery removed), but the NES version never did until this collection. It's fully translated and the imagery is removed in both EN and JP versions here.

I'm more surprised that Kotaku still exists more than anything.

This kind of says Epic really don't give a shit about or have any plans to do anything related to Unreal ever again, forever

Kotaku via RPS via ResetEra That's cool. Though I wonder why they didn't just make them free on the Epic store, given the amount of free games they give away. Maybe they couldn't be arsed with supporting it on modern systems.

It don't work you have to jump through a few hoops and install work arounds for them to run on modern PCs with unofficial patches and such. Try www.oldunreal.com/downloads/unrealtournament/full-game-installers

I'm more surprised that Kotaku still exists more than anything. And that their readers need to have an explanation of who Epic are. Good that they are allowing this, but it does sound like they just don't want to do it themselves and are washing their hands of it. Amazingly, I don't think I have ever actually played the original Unreal or only played it briefly.
