I popped to the chemist at lunch and thought I would grab a meal deal from the little tescos next door. Not a single sandwich on the shelves at 12.30.

Have they started to blame brexit now? Maybe they could mention the 3,000 jobs lost in Swindon too due to Honda closing down... Its amazing how quiet everyone has been about that. An *entire* fucking car plant shuttered.

It’s pissing me off now. I couldn’t even get milk, water or apple juice from the supermarket the other day
That’s pretty basic stuff to run out of completely

Looked on the news section of the BBC, clicked on the Brexit bit. Last story was from the 11 August regarding lorry controls.
I think the insane 'balance' issues that the BBC go's through means they cannot specifically blame brexit for any news unless it's not disputed at all.
Much like climate change (did you see their bitesize of climate change mentioning the benefits of it? Fucking unreal).

Water comes from the tap at home. True but when you’re out all day and are 30 miles from home a bottle of water is a nice luxury

Also not all water that comes out of your tap is of equal quality around the country, nor between other countries.

It’s the only one the press are allowed to talk about and a being hailed as a Brexit success. We only had to pay Nissan £100m to keep it open and convert it to a battery factory.
Just don’t mention other countries paid them nothing for the same thing…

BBC Breakfast reporting the shortages are likely to get worse and will probably impact Christmas. So that's 2 years in a row Boris will have fucked Christmas for everyone. No doubt the Cons will get a few points off the back of it though.
They mentioned Brexit as a factor, along with Covid, recruitment issues etc etc. To be fair, to blame it all on Brexit would be ridiculous as there's obviously a lot of things happening at the moment.

Actually I feel pretty ok blaming it on Brexit when countries in the EU have also been through covid, and yet aren't currently having the supply issues we're having

For balance, I'll allow that it could be a combination of Brexit AND incompetent governance

Just don’t mention other countries paid them nothing for the same thing… Just read The Express version of the Swindon closure. The website is a mess, It's basically adverts with a few lines of text interspersed. Anyway, they said the closure was due to the need to produce electric cars.

There aren’t many businesses that I would be happy to see fail but Wetherspoons is definitely one of them

There aren’t many businesses that I would be happy to see fail but Wetherspoons is definitely one of them Aside from the fact that many people would loose their jobs I'd agree, but I suppose they could easily become lorry drivers anyway.

Brexit causing a Carling shortage at Wetherspoons is such a perfect alignment that if you made it up you’d throw it away for being too on the nose

Just got back from a week in Tenby. 50 percent of businesses had signs in windows stating staff needed. But the shops were will stocked and everywhere was open.
However saundersfoot next door was half shut and every business had staff wanted signs. Also most of the pubs were not serving food as they had no chefs. It was a grim place, apparently it’s supposed to be very nice....
Welcome to brexit Britain
