FEZ and Metal Gear Solid for me.
FEZ especially for how the soundtrack is a such a perfect synthesis with the visuals and game design. Dreamy AF.

Reminiscing about FEZ, it's actually a perfect summer game with the ambience it brings. Cant believe Phil Fish was a one and done the guy is a genius.

David Wise really needs to compose more video games. Grant Kirkhope has gotten a lot of deserved acclaim over the years, but I always preferred the Wise soundtracks.

Far Cry 2: I didn't realize how much some of the tracks sound like the Arcanum soundtrack: Melancholic Strings essentially. Some of it also seems reminiscent of Dishonored to me. Especially the Drug/Sickness-related tracks.

Oh yeah I love the max payne 3 soundtrack. So epic and went perfectly with what was going on screen. Not that great generally to listen to on Spotify but a few decent ones. There aren't many original scores that are good to actually listen to in full outside of playing the game.

Also a lot of love for the Max Payne 3 soundtrack. My own personal favourite is the play on the original theme:

I think that game was the reason I got into HEALTH in the first place. "Volume IV - Slaves Of Fear" is a phenomenonal album.

A 3DS game has no business going this hard.

Bravely Default was a great game. Loved the soundtrack and the twist really got me

It does have quite the Ba'al-busting soundtrack (in a good way!). Both battle and field themes!
Bravely Second arguably goes even harder in places, and if Default II wasn't currently lying in the pile of shame I'd probably be saying the same for that too (I try to keep OST diving to a minimum unless I either know I won't play the game or have played it at least a little, and even then I'm careful to stay away from potential spoilers)

Killer Instinct 2013 season 1 and 2 has some absolute bangers.

Some of the aforementioned field themes, since I brought it up (put under tags to dodge long posts, as usual):

The final boss music is the best one. Can't remember what it's called but it includes all the character themes

Just finished a first run through of Gris. Lovely game with a lovely soundtrack that feels essential to the emotional tone of the game. I don't know if it's a favourite but it certainly did the job (for me at least) and did a great job of swelling the emotions to elevate the exprerience. I've not played Journey yet but I'm getting the urge to. I've also been playing (and thoroughly enjoying) FlatOut 2. Despite the soundtrack being very of its time with a mid noughties alt rock and metal feel, I've found I've had a lot of tunes pop into my head during the day, and if whispered quietly, even the Nickelback ones. This rocks way harder than I expected :

It's a really good fit for the dark environments. And there is a lot of variety.
And the outro track for Necromunda - Hired Gun. Starts slow as the player character comes back to the hub, only to get a "knife in the back" and at about 01:30 as the Credits start rolling, it really gets going.

Oh hey, good timing! Just in time for me to toss my shout-out to the Nioh/Nioh 2 soundtracks! (In their entirety, yes ) More often than not you're too busy trying not to die to listen, but the boss themes are pretty fuckin' great, and the region themes aren't far behind either. Definitely worth a look even if you're not planning on playing them!

Favourite soundtrack is Tony Hawks.
Favourite score is probably Halo.

It's still Wipeout for the best curated soundtrack, and Hired Guns for original music
