I think you need to invest a certain amount of blood in a weapon before it pops. The easiest to get is the spear, just keep talking to achilles.
The hardest is the fists, I think. You have to talk to the minotaur with them equipped AND get the right dialogue to pop AND get the mini-boss room itself to pop.

I'm Captain Fisto so it would make sense that it's the most difficult to unlock.

You do get ‘enough’ and you eventually start to get redundant(ish) resources you can swap for it. It’s one of the few things that the game missteps with because it doesn’t explain weapon aspects very well. Basically, the weapon on the stand is the weapon type and then you choose it’s aspect. Aspects are all separate versions of that weapon (it’s appearance even changes when you change aspect) so there are 4x bows, 4x shields and so on. So there are actually Some aspects just give more damage, some aspects completely change the way a weapon plays but the Titan blood upgrades that individual aspect, not the weapon overall. tldr, there aren’t 6 weapons in the game, there are 24. So do you need to spend blood to unlock each aspect?

Yeah, it costs blood to unlock and more blood to power up the effect.
So it costs one or two bloods to unlock Chiron bow and you get a few extra homing arrows every time you level it up.

So I got a couple of extra escapes today, so up to my 3rd, with the fists, spear then bow, each with a bit more heat each time.
Is that what people do generally first, I.e. try and get a clear with each weapon?. Bumping up the difficulty but sticking to the same weapon just seems a bit unadventurous...

I still pick whatever weapon has bonus dark and gems - although it seems a bit pointless now that I don't really need darkness, and gems are just traded up for nectar and diamonds. But it helps to have the choice forced on me, otherwise I'd gravitate to the sword or the fists, by far the most effective/successful at escaping for me.
Regarding heat- again, the choice is basically made for you if you're rotating weapons, because you always pick the heat that gives a bonus opportunity for that weapon. So I'm up to about 3 with the fists and sword, and one or two with the rest.
What pact conditions are people choosing? I figure the easiest ones are Extreme Measures and Middle Management (because they only change one encounter per level) and then either Damage Control (for fast firing weapons) or Heightened Security.

Err the one where enemies take an extra hit before damage begins is my standard. Also tried the one where you have fewer boon choices and the one which cancels out the bottom of the mirror but seems like these really downgraded the boons I was getting (or at least, the only duo /legendary boons in that run were in the cancelled boon slot!)

Extreme Measures, Middle Management and Tight Deadline (the 7 minute one) are my preferred ones. Got my time down to 20:30 this evening but it must be so tight to get through with the 5 minute limit.

Jury Summons (20% more mobs in normal encounters), is barely noticable at lvl 1.
I've parked this for a bit, or I can see it taking over all my <1hr gaming sessions. Final run before the end credits was a bit of a suprise.

Is there another ending after the 10 run ending? Feels like lots of story playing out/relationship building left.
Still absolutely loving this.

Yeah I still have a lot of loose ends to tie up, not least reuniting Orpheus and Eurydice , absolutely no way I'm quitting until that's done. I heard that apparently some of the side quests can take a while to trigger if you do them after seeing credits, because most of the conversations are about the end. EDIT- not sure why I spoiler'd that since it's listed as a prophecy, but leaving it just in case someone in the very early game sees it.

I think you only get one set of credits. But then I dont think I cleared all the quests and dialogues with well over 100 clears, so I dont know what happens, if anything, when you complete *everything*.

I've done 25 runs and am hitting a brick wall against Hades.
Am I being impatient and need to unlock more stuff or should I have kicked his arse by now?
Are there any cheap tactics / general tips I can use to beat him? (or "best" weapon to try / booms to look for etc?).

Took me 53 attempts to beat him .. if you regularly getting there after 25, that's decent. Just keep unlocking the mirror. And kill his skulls to prevent the green wave things.

Chase the Lightning Rod dual boon. Take more or less any Zeus boon and any Artemis boon and it should pop at some point. In fact, you should have probably got it by accident by now because it’s really easy to get.
Combine it with hiding behind the shield and it’s about as easy mode as you can get.

I only got to about 25 runs until I started beating Hades. By 50 runs I was frequently beating him.
Currently playing on the PS5, and I did have an advantage that I had already put in 20 hours on the Switch beforehand. So I had a little prior knowledge.
For me, the wall of mirrors really made the difference. By the time I had unlocked the additonal lives, along with the damage bonus', this is what made all the difference for me.

I did it!
The Shield worked a treat. I usually play very aggressive (only used the shield once before), but switched my style to being a little more defensive and pretty much breezed through it.
Luckily I got the Zeus lighting which worked well, along with some of Athena's deflects.
I also picked up some laser thing for the cast which I'd never seen before. I kept dropping it out like a sentry gun and let it do it's thing whilst I hid behind the shield and rocks.
I can see me playing this on and off for quite a while, it's a great game.

Right here's my update : still loving it. Beaten at least once with all weapons now and 1-2 heat with others, seen the initial credits sequence and agree with some of the comments above that it still feels like there is tons to do (I'm definitely not bored yet!)
Looking forward to trying to unlock remaining aspects and completing some of the quests & prophecies.
Definitely one of my favourite games in some time. I imagine this would have been an ideal Switch game although presumably it wouldn't run as smoothly on compared to the PS5?

Got to the credits. That final run is a bit different. It was a surprise also as I didn't know I had completed that many escapes...
I've now escaped the most of the weapons twice. I still hate the sword.

Definitely one of my favourite games in some time. I imagine this would have been an ideal Switch game although presumably it wouldn't run as smoothly on compared to the PS5? It struggled a bit at high heat with lots of bullet hell enemies but overall it ran really well. Was a perfect handheld game which I think is at least one of the reasons I played it so much.

I'm on seven clears out of fifty-odd attempts - five with the shield (!), and one apiece with the fists and the rail - and I'm hoping to hit 10, then see the closing credits, using the three other weapons.
At that point, I'll probably call it quits for the time being, as the epilogue sounds like a bit of a grind; however, it's been one hell of an experience so far, and I've certainly got my money's worth (and then some).
Can anyone recommend another roguelike to try next? Having gone from Returnal to Hades, never having dipped a toe into the genre before this summer, I kinda don't want to play anything else right now!
