Huh, standing here in the crystal caverns where the clams are. Never noticed the whispering before. How creepy. Pretty sure I made out "I made a mistake".

I know there's something lore wise about the octo ladies being Seath's kidnapped (via crystal golems) female clerics to experiment on. Not heard anything about the clams. Also they turn up in Ash Lake so I figured they were ancient, like the dragons.

Was just thinking about this:
Really beautiful. Another point in DS2's favour. Worth beating the game just to hear it

We don't mention ds2. (I actually like it but yeah it's definitely the worst game by a long way). I love the dark souls 3 title theme and it's the theme in the battle with the prince of lorthic? so epic.

DS2 is the pinnacle, Dark Souls nerds Just listened to the DS3 theme. It is nice. Yeah the fight against the princes is great. Think my favourite is the Undead Legion music/fight. The whole thing is just so cool
Incredible. So evocative of the fight, too. I can see the fight just listening to it

Has anyone else always looked at that picture as the knight giving a thumbs up?
Like he's on holiday

The best boss music out of any soulsborne is the dancer. In fact that's one of the best fights in the entire series.

Not a fan of the prince's fight if I'm honest. Teleporting twat and magic spaff twat can do once. Their sword though... Now I like their sword.

Actually I think Slave Knight Gael might be my favourite. What a way to finish the series
Also has a cool sword

Two tracks I loved from DS2, the music for the fight against The Burnt Ivory King: m.youtube.com/watch?v=alTQiC6hhGc It sounds like a truly epic fight is about to ensue and goes perfectly with his equally epic entrance. Rather fitting given that he was, after all, a complete badass. Decending into a type of hell to kick some arse tends to do that for you. Just as impactful, the fight music for Sir Alonne, one of the greatest of warriors in Souls: m.youtube.com/watch?v=ztPGThfD_GYEpic! Loved the setting of this one too, with the shiny floors. Alonne must have had the cleaners in every day, or perhaps had a mop-head attachment for his giant katana š.

Smough and Ornstein is pretty damn good, but it's so low during the fight that it doesn't get much appreciation

Fucking Royal Wood now. Creepy as hell, the ambient noise in here fucks me up. Not as much as oolacile though. Those noises sound like children screaming š

Okay, dipped back in to my run on Remastered. I think this is my 3rd or 4th time through Dark Souls over the years (I've been through DS2 about 8 or 9 times - heresy much?). But I've always fucking HATED bed of chaos, where I am now. I know he's a gimmick boss but is there actually any way of guaranteeing she doesn't knock you off (even with shield up) into the pits she creates?
It's just mighty tedious arriving, sliding, running, being knocked down, then rinsing and repeating....(even taking the shortcut, which ain't that short btw).

I donāt think thereās a guaranteed way of avoiding anything. I tend to do the old, hit one and end game so you start back outside for the next one

Cheers! And the reload thing is pretty much teaching an old dog new tricks in my case - my son showed it to me the other day and thought it was somewhere between hilarious and pathetic that it had never occurred to me to do it before.
(I got my revenge, making him do a little wee in his pants, so hard was he laughing at my attempts to run around to the arse-end of Firesage Demon. Who's laughing now, hey, young man?).

Bed of Chaos is just bullshit. My go-is arrows to the left, quit, three attempts with a heavy shield to get to the safe spot and arrow the right, quit, three attempts to smash the middle.

Actually the whole Demon Ruins is total crap. Including the crap statues that spew fire on you. Compared to Tomb and Archives itis so poor and I reckon is a disproportionately large part of the "the last third is bad" complaints

It is yes. Meatball statues, dragon arses and whatever the fuck chaos eaters are meant to be. That whole swampy bit with them... Urgh.
Although I'm not the biggest fan of the Tomb of the Giants either. That place can fuck itself on the moon.

I have to jump on here and say my unpopular opinion again, but I love demons ruins. Theres just something about it that works. For me, at least.
Admittedly, bed of chaos is a bed of large shits.
Do the arrow/quit method and it makes it slightly more bearable. And then you'll have to just blag the middle.
Did you do siegmeyers quest run, out of interest?

I'm ok with the Tomb, but the first time I went I had Cast Light and my Soul Arrows were two shotting the dawgs The crap demons look remarkably like the Shit Demon in the movie Dogma, I've always associated them with it

I wouldn't say I really hate any of it, but everything after Anor Londo is just boring and there isn't anything else to look forward to. If I wasn't going for a new game+, I doubt I'd go beyond that point
I do like how From recognised that Bed of Chaos is shitty but didn't have time to do anything about it so they checkpointed it

I even have a soft spot for New Londo
