Yeah, FES was the better rerelease, but Portable not only had the female protagonist, but also the second soundtrack in her route.

FES has that one track that gradually introduces more instruments as you progress through the dungeon levels though which is really cool

I still want a P1 and 2 compilation for new consoles more (retranslation of EP and the original OST for P1 are a necessity though) as they should be less likely to mess it up and it suits the anniversary more. P3 would sell better though so... Both would be better of course.

Didn't realise this thread existed. I should get back to 4 golden on the Vita.. as I have heavily invested into it but I can't help but feel slightly bored in the second dungeon.

(and autocorrect tried to change this 'it not' to an 'it it' again...) Edit - not on Switch I see, seems an unusual choice but I can live with a PS4/5 version if I must. |

That looks nothing like Soul Hackers tbf. It might be one of the most visually different sequels I've ever seen this side of Shadow Man 2

I'm glad I got through the game, but this is something I wouldn't think of doing again.
They're miles better than the ones in P3, mind, while P5 has (so far - I'm only a couple of dungeons in) had the most interesting ones.

Soul Hackers 2 looks great, but yeah, not too similar to the original. Surprised it's getting an Xbox release. I might get it for that since it's rare to see an Atlus RPG for Xbox platforms.

Had the chance to grab the SH2 CE but it was so overpriced for what was in it I passed (was going about $275 USD Inc shipping and VAT). Decided to grab the Japanese CE for less than half the price instead which has better stuff (anniversary book and 3 CD Soundtrack) in it too (IMO). If the actual game is multilingual it will be a nice bonus but not got huge expectations with Japan despite the simultaneous launch...

Yeah I passed on the SH2 collectors edition, $200 is just ridiculous. It's sold out now anyway, just get a 404 on the Shop Atlus page

I skipped a few such as P5Rsbwith it's ugly mask thing after getting the pointless bag with P5 (and later with SMTV). I expect a fair chance of Atlus being gits and not having multilanguage in the Japanese release but it gets me the bonus bits and I can grab the English game at some point. (Went for the base Japanese CE not the fancier (yet still cheaper than the western one) Ebten Famitsu ones.) |

GrimGrimoire Once More announced. Presume it's an enhanced port similar to Odin Sphere Leifthrasir rather than a sequel.

Yeah, I think I heard it was getting an update (GG). I have the original PS2 game but not really played it... I think Muramasa was my most played vanillaware game until 13 Sentinels which I platinummed.

It's the one Vanillaware title I missed, despite really loving Odin Sphere at the time. It came too close to OS' release, and I think the word "strategy" scared me away. I'd love to finally give it a go and complete the VW collection.

Haha, yeah. I'm debating getting them for PC even though they're on GP. Steam deck and P5R would make my commute disappear.
Or I could just get them on switch that I already own... I can see myself double dipping on some of these even though they're on GP.

Those colours are going to absolutely pop on the OLED screen. I'm annoyed that it took this long to come to Switch, but hey it got there in the end.
