No idea tbh... It was a rental that got popped back in the post immediately.

Not boosted unfortunately afaik but still a cracking game.  Bit steep at £18 though 

What would be great is if they still made the updates to those games available for those with the discs or digital purchases prior, but made them unavailable for future purchases until they get any legal issues ironed out.

I want to play Jet Set Radio Future and Outrun is what I'm saying.

I'm kind of assuming that's what happened with FEAR, since it's still not available to download anywhere.

But we don't even know what kind of legal issues there might be. Maybe they cannot even distribute those conversion files without an explocit approval from the license holder. And Sega might not be very willing to let people play a game on disc format only, because then they'd have to offer support on something that makes them no money.

I'm just talking out of my ass, really. I have no idea how any of this works. But the fact that JSRF was on the list until the very end, is still enough to make me keep some hope: it means they knew it was very requested, and they might still try again in the future. Even if they have said it was the final batch, there'd be really nothing stopping them from adding one more title if the license holders came forward and decided to agree to a deal.

It's weird, especially now we have the FEAR games on there as well. I wou'dnt have thought there was any real reason for it not to be. Doesn't ever seem like it will now which is a pity. It's no way near as good as the first but it would have been nice to be able to play through it on BC.

I think it may be just a cause that they tried to avoid disc-only games unless they were very requested.

Condemned 2 never received a digital release. While both games were released prior to the advent of digital full game sales, it seems that Condemned was eventually put on the marketplace in 2015, but they never bothered with 2, probably because it sold badly.

Me, instead, I wonder why some prices are not the same between the old marketplace and the new one. Condemned is 20 euro on the Xbox One store, but if you look at the old marketplace, it's 5 euro (and will work on Xbox One too). Same thing happened with Panzer Dragoon Orta some months ago: it was 50% off, but only in the old marketplace.

The game was on sale last month, so it's like they forgot to re-enable the original price on the old store?

That's a shame then. I'll have to boot up my old laptop and see if Condemned 2 is passable to play (or wait for the Steam Deck).

I am going to ask something so simple, I risk being banished for being a n00b. But what is the old marketplace? Is this something that we can toggle between right now? Or do we simply mean a marketplace from years ago?

Basically those links wunty posted. But specifically, it's the 360 marketplace, which is accessible through a browser or the 360 itself. There's often Deals with Gold sales on there which are lower than purchasing a game on an Xbox One or Series console.
As long as the game is on the BC list, it'll work on your current console as well, but beware of buying a digital game that isn't.

I am interested to see if there are a few bargains knocking around for the older games. I wouldn't mind Panzer Dragoon Orta. But not for £10. I am cheap that way.

That reminds me, my 360 at home doesn't work anymore, but it appears to be a power supply issue. It's external so it should be an easy replacement. Just not sure if it's worth replacing at this point. There aren't that many games I care about that didn't receive a BC update or a X1/PC port.
