This feels a bit pointless tbf, because it's very unlikely any of those games would be made BC in the future, so they are stuck on the 360.
You'd think, if they are willing to work with partners to give us these sales, maybe those partners would actually bother to give them permission to make those games BC.

And I hope that if there are new BC games getting added that they all / vast majority support that upscaling to 4k thing and framerate boost. It's such a game changer.

Possibly. It was reported back in April that Sarah Bond had set up a new team focused on games preservation.

For what it's worth, Black is 90% off and one of the very few BC games on the list. However, it's only on sale if you buy from the 360 marketplace (this will give you the BC version too).
Unfortunately that means you must either buy it from a real 360, or attempt to buy it from the old maketplace and hope it will work for you. It doesn't for me: the purchase tab keeps loading indefinitely. Shame, as I would have given it another chance otherwise (on normal difficulty this time, so I don't get stuck on the goddamn final room).

I managed to buy Black in the end. Had to do a bit of tampering though. To think MS could fix the issue easily on their end, but never did. I guess they just don't care about old code.

The problem is apparently for countries where currencies use commas instead of periods (that basically includes the whole euro area and some other countries, but not the pound and dollar). That comma is messing up the store javascript or something. |
