Suicide Squid: Kill the Justice League

Maybe you earn XP for them from using the characters individually? It's pretty basic, it'd just mean you could see what you have for each character without having to select each character?

Either way, I didn't rally think about what this was. I just sort of took it for granted that it was following the Arkham mold.

In fairness, this is a leak. It's not like this is how they wanted to communicate with the world. But, as is often the case, the leak will probably prompt an earlier promotional cycle and we'll start to see more of how it actually hangs together.

Given the credentials of the devs, I'm happy to give them the benefit of the doubt.

To be fair I would be more worried about the supposed story leaks.
Though that apparently started on 4chan so probably nothing.

So yeah, Suicide Squad is confirmed to be a full live service game, battle pass and everything. Sigh.

Wasn't really impressed at all but my brain just can't accept Rocksteady would develop a game that looks and sounds bang average. I love the Arkham series.

I'm clinging to the hope it's more fun to actually play than it looks in videos. As for the battle pass and loot shite, I'm clinging that they made a feature complete single player campaign on par with the Arkham games, and the live service shit can just be ignored after that. Surely you don't go from making a feature rich world like Gotham City to making a world that's just filled with genetic GaaS crap?

It's almost certainly a false reality in but at the moment I think I want to live here.

Tbf it looks like it's got some really exceptional innovations such as *checks notes* shooting purple weakspots. I mean who actually thought that showing Captain Boomerang shoot a full clip at a glowing purple, run out of bullets then reload and continue shooting at it would be something to get the audience hyped?

Should we lay our hopes on Monolith to make Wonder Woman a good single player game? Or is that likely to be contaminated by WB too?

I also, you know, gotta wonder about Warner's attempts to make the Suicide Squad the next big thing, both in games and in movies. I just don't see the appeal. The Avengers they ain't.

Even Arkane couldn't sneak that gem past gamers without an outcry.

Looks nearly as bad as the Gotham one. This kind of stuff must have audience if they keep churning it out though.

I dunno. There are always a few things that arrive after the fad is over and we are probably getting the dregs of the 'live service games are so hot right now' bandwagon from four or five years ago. Hopefully this and Gotham Muppet Babies are the final nails.

The last Batman they made was pretty shit as well imo.

I can’t say I’m bothered about live service stuff as long as it’s generally ignorable. Blood Bowl 3 came out earlier this week, and a lot of people seem to be outraged about the battle pass online stuff, as is their right, but in the meantime I’m enjoying a pretty faithful offline adaptation of the tabletop game, even amongst some bugs and UI annoyances.

You see I just don't believe that, a lot of live service games that aren't aimed us continually fail. There are like only a handful that have any meaningful presence because people only have time for 2 live service games max and that's at a push. I don't see this being the one which becomes a competitor to Destiny.
