They say its in some of the lyrics and production. Their music video also uses AI art and yeh, looks as bad as you imagine.

That's so ridiculous. Look forward to them playing Bloodstock next year and being 5 years shitter than last time I saw them.

That seems both weird and dumb to me.
Did Kerry King want to overshadow his solo album and tour? 'Cause that's what'll probably happen.

Although that said, I've had Seasons/Reign/SoH on a lot recently and concluded that they truly are the kings of thrash.

Do you want to be Kerry King playing Slayer with some session musicians or Kerry King playing Slayer with Tom Araya and some session musicians and a lot more money for a few shows in between that other thing?

Life must be pretty sweet being Paul Bostaph though. Looking ahead to a steady summer of midtier festival slots and the occasional support gig for someone like Lamb of God and now he’s headlining those festivals without even really needing to learn much of a new setlist.

Personally, I can't stand Tom Araya, so I'd rather have King and Bostaph doing King's solo stuff... but I appreciate that's an unconventional view!

Hopefully they come back to NZ. Last gig was cancelled the day before because of the mosque shooter cunt.

Killer song, absolutely dreadful AI shite video. It's actually annoyed me, you'd think artists would understand using what's basically fancy clip art isn't good enough.

This seems pretty cool. The album is a concept album about a 1900's Swedish union leader, which I also find kinda neat. I like it when bands choose topics outside more typical historical war or fantasy themes.

Think I'm liking Bruce's new solo album more than the last Maiden.
Interesting to see him re-do "If Eternity Should Fail"

New Judas Priest album is far better than it has any right to be. The singles were great and the album lives up to them comfortably.
It's easy to be both too forgiving and too critical of legacy acts, but honestly this is just great. Maybe too long, but unsure where I'd trim things down, there are no tracks I'd call filler.
It's easily a top ten JP album for me, and quite possibly top 5, just after Screaming for Vengeance, Painkiller, Defenders of the Faith, and British Steel. Need to see where it settles but right now it just edges out the previous album Firepower.
Between Firepower and this I do think they're putting a lot of other legacy acts to shame.

drhickman1983 Regarding Judas Priest, I agree. Still haven't listened properly to the new album, only the released singles, but certainly intend to - especially considering I'll be watching them live in Athens in July!

Holy shit how have I not come across these guys before now? Listened to them after they received some glowing praise on BangerTV's Metal Monthly youtube show, and literally every tune I've listened to of theirs blows me away.
Also getting some Souls vibes from the cover, can't hurt.

This is fucking great. Probably the most striped back, to the point Midnight album for a bit (not that they're that technical at the best of times). But this just rips, blackened speed metal with a huge dose of old-school punk.
I'm finding it's a great counterpoint to Judas Priests Invincible Shield.

New Darkthrone album announced. I do like their recent doomy style, so I'm looking forward to this. Mainly I just love how adorkable Fenriz is in these videos.

New DVNE. It's... kinda different? They're not tracking guitars as much to make it so that their live performances are closer to the album tracks, but it seems like it's had the effect of bringing the sound a fair bit closer to something like Elder. I still like it, but I feel like the loss of how thick the sound was is a shame.
Seeing them live in April all the same.
