It has some really funny stuff in it. A whole journey up a mountain where they go cannibal on Brian Fantana. Worth a watch 👍

Very much looking forward to seeing Another Round. Looks great Add Riders of Justice to your list, weird but good weird. Oh, and Prospect is absolutely sublime, sense of place is visceral. Championed that film on the other site (that shall not named) ‘Visceral’ is exactly the right word. It helps that they found an amazing shooting location (forest in Oregon or Washington or some shit).

Bone Tomahawk 8/10
Wife walked in as *that* scene was playing out.
Needless to say she was not impressed.

Saw this when it came out at the flix way back when. Had it on every medium you can think of.
The greatest film of all time/10.

It's not that bad. I was actually expecting it to be worse the way people had talked about it.

I must be very desensitsed. It wasn't that bad
There's a similer scene in Terrifier if you like that sort of thing

I was unaware of the scene, went in to the film not knowing what to expect and it caught me off guard.

I had a realisation about the films I like the other day, specifically Ridley Scott films (and he may very well be my favourite director). My three favourite films of his are ones where I absolutely do not like the theatrical cut.
Bladerunner is awful with the Harrison Ford voiceover, Legend NEEDS the Tangerine Dream soundtrack (and other things like the blacklight 'Mother Night' speech, and Kingdom of Heaven is a jumbled mess until you put back the scenes for the director's cut.
Does he second-guess himself too much? Is it that studios don't get what he is doing? Or am I just more likely to find a version of his films that I like because he has multiple versions out there?

Synchronic is on Sky now, a heads up for fans of The Endless and Resolution.
And if you haven't seen those films, make sure you do.

My missus is a bloodthirsty little so and so and she loved Bone Tomahawk, specifically the scene in question. Actually, she was a little disappointed it wasn't more horrible, since I'd talked it up (and since the gore in other Zahler films is so fakey).

Recommend Baskin if you haven't already seen it (the 2015 one). The latter half of the film should be quite pleasing for her

Bad Day For The Cut – 7/10
Pretty standard low budget revenge thriller. Certainly enjoyable but doesn't throw up many surprises. Does feature an amusing array of households items used as bludgeons/torture devices.

Watched Peanut Butter Falcon last night since it was on the telly. It was ok. Mildly entertaining with a reasonably hopeful feel good(ish) ending.
Glad i watched it, but not sure I'd rush to watch it again.

Her
Joaquin Phoenix falls in love with an Amazon Alexa. I enjoyed it in a 'this is really quite odd and totally believable' kind of way.

Boss Level Frank Grillo should just stick with moody films. A Mish mash of loads of films not done very well. 5/10 I quite liked it. Not the ending though. That was shite.
