God, this fucking game has Doom 3 syndrome. *every* time you enter a room, the designers put an enemy behind you. It’s so tiresome.

There is a shortcut and you are very close to it if you are at the top.

That animation delay is fundamental isn't it? Even with mobs. You've really got to be careful not to get caught out.

Really enjoying this, could never get into Dark Souls series as often felt that some random trash could kill you on the way to the boss so didn't get the practise in I sorely needed. This has a better balance, the little enemies give you a chance to practise while not posing much of a threat meaning you can reasonably sure will get back to the boss and claim your souls/ergo.

Perfect game pass fodder as certainly would not have been buying day one.

Yeah I've knocked the game on the head now. May revisit in the future, but I don't have the time to spend repeating a boss fight continously.

The flamberge legion arm melts his health bar in the first stage, if you've still got the option of creating it. I've also heard it's well worth farming flame grenades as they can do serious damage. Fire is key, but I'm sure you know that. 

Of course there's a difference between knowledge and skill, I've only done him once, and he killed me quickly on stage 2; but this time I'm going to try to ignore arsehole-pop-up-man and manoeuvre back to the head - and also try not to use the flamberge until the second stage to speed it up. And summon, of course. He can be my aggro sidekick for much of stage 1.

Yeah it's a shame as I was loving it. Wish I could just get over this hump. Younger me would have stuck it out. Older me with less time needs to prioritise fun over frustration.

Yeah that was at least a saving grace for Fuoco as it was a quick sprint across the girders and then drop down and run down the ramp.

I'm strength specced though so that dagger will be like using a feather for me.

I do wish you could respec before chapter 7 though, that's a big error.

It should make a difference. And you'll able to purchase moonstones before the archbishop if you find the right item box - I don't recall where I found it but I handed it over at the hotel. So all weapons can be levelled to +3 at least at the stage I'm at...with some gentle grinding.
