I've added it to my wishlist on the eshop and will grab it next time it goes on sale. It's jankiness always added to the surreal creepy aspect of it.

I’d rather watch Giant Bomb play through Deadly Premonition than actually play it, the combat seems dreadful.

It's no more janky than the combat in Alan Wake II which is also fairly Twin Peaks

Everything is dreadful. Yet it's amazing.

New game published by Panic is out: Arco. “Enter the breathtaking world of Arco, a dynamic tactical RPG where your decisions shape the story. Three tales forged in bloodshed, laced with magic, and united by revenge.”

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is disappearing in November. Good riddance to the predatory piece of shit.

Being replaced by a version you pay up front for, but removes all additional purchases. Like a regular game. Not sure if those crazy folk who spent a lot of money on the original version will get a free upgrade.

baihu1983 is it? Also the game isn't suggesting that people who dont want politics in their games (which is such a hilariously stupid argument) are fascists. It's suggesting that a fascist government doesn't want politics in its entertainment. I gleaned that by actually watching the video. Also you should probably look at the accounts timeline. It's absolute brainrot that goes on about DEI.

Political messaging aside, it's a very flat opening. Dunno what to make of it out of context, is it meant to be genuine? Is it satire to some degree? Is the band meant to be bad or lackluster on purpose that the game plays up? Not sure what the rest of the game is like but on the fact of it, it's a bad song.
This seems pretty cool

Yeah ignoring the users comments that opening is bad. Video game songs tend to poor anyways but that's giving the music in 'Lake' a run for it's money.

Not sure if those crazy folk who spent a lot of money on the original version will get a free upgrade. I seem to recall that with one of their previous freemium Pokemon games (Shuffle?) that once you spent a certain amount (rpughly the cost of an actual game) it just made everything free instead of paid for. So they 'could' do it properly, however...

Bought it on a whim and now I think I'm into the hype that Balatro could be GOTY. If there's ever a phone version of this...I'm done.

Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria out on Xbox and Steam today. Anyone here played it? Not usually my type of genre but big LOTR fan so I’m intrigued.

Castlevania: Dominus Collection has just dropped.
Contains: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, Order of Ecclesia and Haunted Castle Revisited.
The last game is Castlevania Arcade but revamped. See what I did there. Revamped. Because they have Dracula in. And he's a vampire.
I'll get me coat.

I remember them being quite integral to the gameplay.
Sea of Stars was one of those games that went full off the rails to me, nothing really mattered anymore once that alchemist character came in it. Combat was fun at the beginning but with so few skills it kinda got repetitive towards the end. A self contained shorter story might be interesting tho.

Shadow of the Road is a strategy RPG set in historical Japan. It has all the things you expect ninjas, samurai and giant mechanical scorpions.

Of all the scummy layoffs recently, this sinks to new lows. Visions of Mana is just out today, can't even let the dev team celebrate it.

For no apparent reason I've been reminiscing about Battle Arena Toshinden on the PS1.
It's weirdy etched in my memory as it's the first 3D fighting *console* game I played. Never actually owned a copy, but recall playing it in a HMV, or maybe Virgin Megastore, back when those places had a console demo stands.
When I did get a Playstation of my own (thanks to my family getting me one for Christmas) I got Tekken 2 instead, which frankly was a much better game, but the weirdly floaty jumping and Gouraud shaded visuals in Toshinden has really stuck with me for 20 odd years. Pretty sure it's taking up memory space that would be better used on something useful.

The fuck? I have just discovered there is a new Test Drive Unlimited out. I can only assume it’s crap as no-one here is talking about it and previous games were an EG forum staple. That’s a shame Does even have a casino?

I got a key for something silly like £20 ages ago, so will be taking a look. Although chances are it runs like shit on steam deck. Seems to have pretty middling reviews, but it's exactly the kind of game I'm in the mood for at the moment.
