I got a gold with Ken and I didn't feel I played well, I certainly don't know any lengthy combos.
I've been trying to learn Jamie, but I struggle to leap in, his kicks don't point downwards and i end up missing mostly, or i a get a faceful of fist. He is fun to use though, so I'm gonna keep with him for a bit.

I've had this 8bitdo Ultimate controller for a few months now and it's kept really clean.
A few days of Street Fighter and there is sweat and grime all over the thing. I assume I'm not the only one who has this issue when playing fighting games.
Just thought I would share that.

I've been playing SF on and off since the SNES days. I thought I was at least competent, but in n the few times I've played this, I'm getting demolished. Also it's infuriating that you can set global commands, but you have to choose a command style for each character too. I kept trying to set my controls to classic, but when I went into games with Ryu it would default to modern. I think it's weird how you can decide the controls depending on which side of the screen you start on. It'd be a mindfuck having Classic starting on the left and Modern starting on the right. Kept Modern for my Avatar as I really enjoy being able to do a spinning piledriver based on one direction and single button. Broken as anything.  |

I was playing a bit of Jamie earlier, I only managed to win when I start using forward and HK to close distance,you can then press HP as starts up in 5 frames and isn't punishable. From there I don't know what to do but press buttons as Jamie usually comes out on top of you are close. I don't think jumping is the answer as it's so floaty |

GGs lads, thanks for the games. I'll undoubtedly be on tomorrow night, and for a longer session. Gonna stay sober, my daughter is doing a parachute jump on Sunday morning and it's a good hour drive.

I win most with Honda, always liked him since SF2. I feel strong when jumping through the air, and he can cover a lot of ground which is always good.
I had to give up after a few matches of playing Nick as Blanka. It wasn't much fun, lol

The problem with Edmund is that his headbutt is so good that if you can’t deal with t you eat it all day. And you can see how quickly it diminishes the drive guage. The game then becomes a cat and mouse of predicting it. And I don’t find that especially fun, even though I’m headbutt deliverer.
Also he’s +1 on block on buttstomp. No wonder they toned down slaps to be at least -4.*
* unless they’re powered up.
Someone at Capcom really loves Honda!

Nah, the ex version is a combo extender now. He has his slide, obvs, but it’s not the fireball check it was.
You also have to space the medium and light balls into nonsense because they are full combo punishable.

I think I stopped counting the amount of headbutts you were throwing out after the 20th one in one round. It's kinda ridiculous, Honda does seem to be almost stupid in almost every SF he's in. |

What's the point in liking a character if you can't win with them. I play as lily and she is a lot of fun, she has a clear gameplan which I'm finding useful to learn the game. She can be rushed down though, or with me I can just be randomed as her anti air isn't consistent |

Sorry I had to leave - only had until 9am and then Real Life calls. Still, great games.

The only reason I have stuck with him so long is because I find his fighting style fun. At some point though I have to say "nah, this isn't really working for me". |
