I suppose there is a difference between someone spamming a move and someone just being a twat because they are a bit better than the other person.
I’ve had it done to me. Someone clearly starts fucking around and using me as a training dummy after they have whomped me a few times. It happens.

I had a few repeat battles on ranked against a Rashid player who got the best of me in a few matches.
I got a win and could tell he was pissed off by how quickly he hit the rematch button.
I let the timer run down to 1 before quitting. Ultra dick move and quite satisfying.

I beat a diamond Manon early last week, then quit due to the horrible input lag, despite it being a supposed 4 bar connection. I apologised in chat and moved on. I lost the next two matches on different machines, each time being booted after 1 only game due to someone queuing behind me. I did notice that it was the same player replacing me that I'd just beat and wondered if the bloke was following me around.
When he finally caught up to me, while I was waiting on an empty machine, he proceeded to send it straight up my arse with a master-ranked Dhalsim, then quit after 1 only game, citing "Sorry, bad input lag."
Now that's the work of a fragile ego. I think that he thought he was being insulting, but I wasn't the one following somebody around for 20-25 minutes in the Battlehub just because I'd lost a game. He had an amazing Dhalsim, granted, but still, folks are weird.
I've noticed him frequenting the Euro servers since, despite him having a NA account, and being in the primetime for NA servers. I just don't get it. I'd rather lose 10 times in a perfect connection and feel like perhaps I'm learning something, than struggle through 10 wins that feel like shit and have no semblance to legitimate, offline play.

I'm not saying that I don't get aggravated, especially if I've had a drink and lost a long set, but I'm not a petty dickhead either. Besides, I'm more aggravated at myself.
I just hate playing on shit connections. I'll sometimes put the stick down if I feel like there's a lot of input lag at the start of the match. Fuck it, it's Battlehub. The only thing you're losing is time.
I had a mass of poor connections join the cab last night, but unfortunately there's no way to vet them based on connection if you sit down first. People need to stick to the servers from their continent as a general rule. It's odd because I've had some 1-2 bar games play sort of okay, while some 4 bar games can feel like you're playing underwater.

I had a guy follow me from cab to cab the other day even though his connection was so bad I tried calling a no-contest on our first match (which nobody ever fucking accepts).
And then a weird mob of two bar connections from the same club in the UAE rotating onto my cab. If you don’t live in Europe, stay off the Europe servers. It’s not hard.

It’s Evo weekend! Can’t wait to annoy my wife and family with how much I’ll be glued to my devices.
SF6 top 6 is scheduled to start at approx 3am
Monday morning - and it’s the first day in ages that I have off so I won’t be getting up early enough to watch it haha.
Looking forward to seeing the birds destroy all and sundry.

I do wish there were a setting to make it winner-stays-on like the HDR and IV lobbies. They were a lot of fun with a few lads involved. With no voice chat and no way to see the text chat when ingame it makes it a bit of a pain.

It’s lucky the actual thing that counts, the netcode, works. That said, I do like battlehub. I think that works really well for just bumbling around and playing randoms. |

When you set up the room you can set up how many matches it takes to "win" - but by default it's unlimited. It doesn't put you in a queue but it does mean you come out of the matches once someone has reached the threshold!
