Seems like a Jaws set is finally getting the go-ahead? Better hope it's better than the Idea it's based on especially Bruce.

For anyone interested, this is what the finished set looks like : This definitely earned a place among my favorite builds, it was quite pleasant to assemble as well. Now I only need to find some room for it, that's going to be the real challenge...

Just started building the tallneck. Seems like a very fun build so far, although the only recent comparison I have is a technic Ducati that was about as much fun as watching paint dry.

Here's the next set I'm going to build, this one is going to take a lot of time given the number of pieces it has :

^ age 6+ lol.
It's probably small potatoes for you guys, but I picked up the Lego Technic McLaren Senna GTR set as a kind of summer project to do with the kids. Haven't started yet, but it's the first one in decades that I've picked up as much for me as for them.
Kinda looking forward to it.

Hey everyone, could any of you advise me on a good storage solution for my nanobricks ? Because unfortunately the set I've posted about does not have numbered bags and there's no way I can start building it without first separating the 10000+ pieces by color and size. Any recommendations you have for me would be much appreciated.

A tip I heard was that it's much less important to sort by color than by size/shape, because your eyes are really good at picking out colors. Eg: if you stick all the flat thin ones in one container, you'll have no problem spotting a blue one. But if you stick all the blue ones in one container it's going to be much harder to spot the flat thin one you want. --------- Finished the McLaren Senna GTR. We made it a summer project and split it into about 10-15 pages a day, so it ended up taking just over a week. It seemed like a really nice satisfying build, although I got relegated to mainly finding pieces and my son basically built the entire thing It's a nice finished model too, and as hoped, the technicky-bits (cogs and shafts for steering and engine cylinders) were at least reasonably educational. No idea where we're going to put it when my son stops playing with it.

Thank you both for the advice !
Regarding the idea of prioritizing shape and size over color when it comes to sorting, that makes sense and I'm not sure why I didn't think of that myself, it will definitely save me some time so thanks again.

My wife just built the Great Wave art set (20% discount @ John Lewis if you are interested)
It’s a beauty! I was not 100% sold on it looking good enough to hang at home when I saw it up at Leicester Square Lego shop but it actually looks darn good in the house!
Since my wife loves most things art she is also pleased with it… priceless.

My wife got me the Great Wave set for my birthday, was going to hang it on my office, but she liked it more than she thought and the colours go well in our family room so it's not hidden away like my other Lego sets 😆

Although I am leaning more towards the more expensive route of buying lighting kits for the actual models themselves.

I think I got a wide tall billy with glass doors and then used the spotlight kit (the same ones you posted)

I kinda wish it included the original trilogy characters instead, but it is quite nice.
I'm a sucker for a diorama

Yeah, considering there was that God awful holiday special of the original, feels weird with Rey and Co.
I'm a sucker too, it's the kind of thing I love doing over Christmas, with a nice rum and Die Hard on the telly 😅
