Built the new Space orrery set with the boy today - pretty mind-blowing piece of design - if you like Technics even a little bit it’s a must-buy.

I just got the retired Lego star wars r2d2 boost kit from eBay (assuming I don't get scammed). Boy will be able to build and then control the r2d2 from a tablet!

I've spent an accidental fortune on retired sets in past month in run up to his birthday... definitely all for him!

I was building the Lego infinity gauntlet yesterday and I spent most of the time sifting though the bags (decanted into tupperware like a bag of maltesers) rather than actually building.
I looked for one part for half an hour before I realised I'd accidentally used it in the wrong finger! Definitely time to call it for the day, fingers are complicated.

Missus just finished the new Stitch lego character... can't deny it's very cute and I like how poseable it is...

There's a few bits I want. Seems like the droid ship has sold out though...not appearing in my basket. Might pop down to the store at lunch but doubt they have any there either.

Anyone had experience of Cobi model kits? I've been hankering to build a Tirpitz and swerving on going full Tamiya Mode.

I'm just over half way through building the new 25th Anniv. R2-D2 (75379) and it is excellent. I sold the UCS R2 in order to fund this one and I think it's actually a better overall model. I really like it. And it's easily displayable. There's also a pretty simple MOC on rebrickable that allows the middle foot to operate up and down into the body, so I'll probably do that.
I'm selling most of my LEGO atm, as I just don't have space. I've got mostly UCS or other large sets and they're just impractical for display unless you have a large dedicated space, and you can't keep them in storage without disassembling them so they can't be easily rotated, so I'm letting them go.
The UCS Falcon is staying, as it will forever have a space in my office. I'm keeping, or will be obtaining, smaller display sets that can easily be stored complete in my cupboard, so that I can easily rotate a few things on display. I've got the IDEAS Wall-E, as well as the Piranha Plant, currently out on a shelf. This new R2 will have a spot, and I want to pick up the ICONS DeLorean and probably Bowser again(I bought it to build while I was home in the UK a couple of years and gave it to a friend rather than travel it back here). I've also got the Mini Cooper (again, a repurchase from a lot of years ago). I quite fancy a Dune Ornithopter too, though I don't know if I'll go with the official or a MOC.
It's been really nice to clear some space and not feel like I'm just hording stuff, and actually be able to have a few things out and visible. Reignited my LEGO interest a bit again.

I've had the 1989 batwing still in its delivery box in the loft for two years now because there's just not enough space to display it anywhere. Tempted to just sell it, as it feels like a consolation set when I really wanted the batmobile instead.
I know the minute I put some shelves up, my missus will fill them with crap before I get a chance to build it anyway.

I just wish the new mini-falcon was a bit more reasonably priced, considering its size. [edit] though I guess the price isn't that out of line with other models, but the exchange rate makes it horribly OP here [/edit] I like the look of LEGO Star Wars Mos Espa Podrace! I'm not really a big fan of the prequels, but that one does look pretty cool.

I did treat myself to the mini falcon and it's pretty nice, a manageable size. Most recently I finished the Himeji Caste from the architecture series, which looks incredible and is great on display, and it's very clever, but tbh I didn't enjoy building it as much as I thought I would, a bit too much repetition.

The orange Technic Porsche (the first of the supercar range), the Ghostbusters Firestation, the IDEAS fishing store, UCS Y-wing, Saturn IV, Nintendo Entertainment System, the Galaxy Explorer, and more. Almost all of it needs to be sold.

There's a little gap at the back they've made to allow a screw fixing. Honestly it's an amazing set to build and look at. Don't sell it.

While not official Lego, I've ordered the midi Falcon, midi Executor and the 40th anniversary mini Death Star for €53 delivered. I've bought the Razor Crest from them before, and it's perfect. Shoot me a message if you'd like the website name. I do also buy official Lego for my children, but I couldn't justify the price of the official sets of any of those as they were for me alone.

I might have to rebuild my 7965 Millennium Falcon too and get that wall mounted if I can find a kit cheap.
