Was it just me or did the game have too much hacking/picking and not enough digipicks? I remember buying every one I seen and I was still short and I wasn't failing the mini games. Seemed you couldn't enter a room without stumbling over several and I eventually just stopped because even the hardest ones only had 7.77 ammo and fruit. you're not the first to state this so maybe something was wonky with my game. I remember picking pretty much any lock I came across yet I have loads. I eventually thought that the picking was pointless because there was both no incentive and near limitless picks to remove any care about being careful

Many 100s of hours into this and I've only just discovered there's a secret menu in the flight simulator if you pick up the key card.

I spent so much time in that simulator getting the requirements for the piloting skill.
I’ve been thinking about reinstalling to see the new city maps, improved AI and all that. Still holding out hope for console mods though…

It's nice that you can have independent difficulty for ground and ship combat.
I'd like to know more about how the xp bonuses work, seems like it could be exploited. Running around on the ground, whack ship combat up to the max. Flying around in space and do the reverse.
If you're not in town selling stuff why would you care how much money they have, get that shit reduced and bump it up before you go on a selling spree. Drop your carry weight to minimum and set cargo access to ship only, fill your pockets, change to access anywhere dump it all and drop the setting again. Etc.

I never did finish the game. If I went back to it now, I think I'd have to restart from scratch, but the thought of trying to rebuild The Fat Normandy doesn't appeal to me.

I finished it off recently. After the new patch dropped that added all the difficulty options in, I made it stupid easy as I was stuck in an endless deathloop in the final space battle.
After that I just charged headlong through the surface, facetanked all the space goons, skipped every bit of dialog and completed it.
I'm now at a point where I can start (and also relearn the game if I ever do).

To infinity and beyond!
I’m a bit surprised that full mods are being released prior to dlc if come dlc release and likely major concurrent updates may break mod work to that date it makes heavy time investment by mod makers at this point seem a bit of a fools errand. But then maybe they are eager to get as much buy in while it lasts as early as possible…

So the “Creations” support added in this update is just full-on mod support after all? I was confused because in FO4 and Skyrim on console they were 2 separate things- Creations was the officially supported stuff that usually cost money, and mods were free and more Wild West - achievements disabled, we’re not responsible if this breaks your game etc. Now it looks like they’ve combined the two with “Bethesda” and “Verified Creators” at the top, and the more wild (and free) stuff further down the same menu. Which is… good I guess? At least I can finally install loads of mods, spend ages reading the notes and making sure the load order is correct, and then not actually play the game that much Ps as with FO4 and Skyrim there are a couple of free add-ons in the paid section - the Observatory looks kind of cool…

The free suit you can grab from the creation club is pretty good. There's also a weapon skin and an observatory for your outpost. The suit is pretty good, looks a bit like someone has been playing too much Metroid. If you copped for the deluxe upgrade/early access you'll get 1000 points which is enough to cover the bounty mission (700 points).

Just had a browse of it, and yeah, some good stuff there.
Incidentally, the Unofficial Starfield Patch that's available on CC is from that guy that the whole Starfield/Fallout/Skyrim modding community seems to absolutely despise due to his insistence on not only fixing things but changing content indiscriminately according to his preferences, (and apparently having a personality like a shit-encrusted cheese grater) and there's a kinder, more democratic alternative available in the form of the Starfield Community Patch (SFCP).

Just started this, Xbox streaming via Samsung TV - ÂŁ1.00 for a 14 day trial, not that I'm going to anywhere near finish this in 14 days. Graphics are a little fuzzy here and there. Biggest problem, it seems, is when Merica wakes up. And I'm on 1gb download speed... Not sure if the promised land is in sight yet.
Game wise? Way too much to take on board. No surprise there then. ✌️

Blue_Mike thank you! I was going to ask about the difference between those 2 patches, I assumed the “Unofficial” one was more, er, official because of the guy’s previous work, but if he’s a shitlord I’ll use the other one. I had a very brief go at a modded game earlier and couldn’t even find the official free spacesuit - it says it’s in “your room at the lodge” but where exactly??

Haven't loaded up my modded save yet, but I'd assume it's in that storage locker opposite the bed, I have noticed some things carry a notice that containers take 48 hours in-game to refresh, so maybe a timeskip?
EDIT: OK, no, ignore that. It'll be in a case.
It's got some nice stats.

Me personally? Not in Fallout. Cyberpunk is exclusively first person and I still have an impressive wardrobe

Fashion conscious Auntie?
Cool. I only really care about stuff if I can see a character and even them just find something and stick with. In Stanfield I just went with decent stats, it could've been a clown costume for all I cared.

Is Stanfield just a typo or a meme I don't understand?

Despite me thinking Starfield is a big bucket of meh, I'll probably get Shattered Space if it has an engaging story with varied environments (more zero-g environments plz) and is less than ÂŁ20.
Bethesda usually step it up for their expansion packs so fingers crossed

Boba Fett/Mando style armour. Proper hiding your spacesuit in habitable areas. The ability to unlock the size limits on ship building. New ship part sets to use. Thank you mods.
I'm happy enough with all that for now. Guess I'll be mentally sketching out ship designs and setting up outfits for the gang.

Was going to be going with the Tactical Dirt version, but for some reason some of its files are quarantined and have been for a while.
