I need to try Ion a bit more, getting sniped by the laser cannon after ejecting is something I want to do to other people!
Only Titan I don't get on with is Northstar.

It's tough, Northstar is the only mid to long range Titan but it doesn't always work out that way. And given he has the lowest health pool and all other titans revel at being up close and Northstars weapon is a single shot, charged weapon, you're gonna struggle when anyone else is in your face. I always try and treat him as a support role. Actively seek out teammates and if they're in a fight I keep at a distance and chipping away at the enemy titan. And if anyone comes near, tether trap in their direction and get out.
Monarch is prob my fav all told, melting through enemies up close, that charge up noise before the big shotgun blast fires. So good. Been playing it lately now, so very very rusty, feels like I'm always losing 1 on 1 pilot engagements. Just gotta play more I guess!

What do you use for a pilot loadout?
All discourse online seems to plump for the SMGs (mainly the CAR) but I can't bring myself to change from my R201.
R201, Charge Rifle, Stim, Map Hack and Vortex Grenades is my usual setup in Attrition.

It's bullshit how EA sent out Titanfall 2 to die back in the day and it's mega bullshit that we haven't had a 3 yet.

Well there you go. It is bullshit and EA are bullshit. The layoffs are also bullshit, it's just a short term positive that looks good on the balance sheet but you're left with a lack of talent and the same homogenised games.

I can but echo what others have already said: Titanfall 2 was fantastic, EA's treatment of it was appalling, and it sucks that we still haven't had a sequel.
I enjoyed the Titanfall 2 campaign so much that it got me into Apex Legends, and I'm not a battle royale person (or even a multiplayer person) in the slightest - that's how amazing that game was.

I didn't play Tf2 until years later, but the singleplayer campaign was indeed excellent.
Tf1 having no singleplayer, and then Tf2 having an amazing campaign didn't help it though. I ignored Tf2 for ages due to not really being into multiplayer games. (at the time, Tf2 also got me into Battle Royale)

TF2 multiplayer is excellent - still play it every couple of weeks because there's nothing else like it.

The impression seems to be that the star wars games was relatively new, I also read something today which highlighted that Disney have significant increased the payments for licensing in the region of increasing them from 22% to 33% which if true is fucking silly and would explain why EA canned it as soon as. It also said that staff found out on the day we did that they'd be losing their jobs

I really wish they’d patch in cross play to this so it’s easier to get a game!

Recently downloaded TF2, as I've always heard great things about the campaign.
Haven't started it yet due to issues caused by having played the trial, but i think it's sorted.
If there's another game it would be great news, as I'm oddly fond of the series despite not much experience of it

It's campaign is brilliant. The multiplayer is brilliant.
Why it got shelved is a TRAVESTY.

Mission Effect & Cause is pretty fecking cool I must say. Hopping between past and present is a mechanic I like quite a lot.

Yeah, it's brilliant.
Dishonored 2 had a similar mission, called 'A Crack in the Slab' - also very cool, but I preferred Titanfall 2's take on it.

Spoiler!
I have to say that I found the first level or two a bit underwhelming, as it just seemed to be shooting generic grunts with dozens of almost identical generic guns. But after that it really takes off.
Some of the levels are great, the mechs are good, but personally I also really loved the movement. Taking out enemies by wall running past them, jumping onto another wall to wall run behind them and then dropping down right behind them to shotgun them in the face never got old.

Managed to get a few games going last night and it remains one of the best shooters out there. Everything about it is so satisfying.

It was on PS+ Essential one month too, unfortunately back then because I had used EA Play to add it to my library so I didn't have to use my disc the system wouldn't allow me to get it for "free" no matter what PlayStation support tried to do, muppets. Fortunately that's no longer a problem.
I'm tempted to pick it up again at £1.79 though just so I don't have to bother using my disc to replay the campaign at some point, it's worth a couple of quid for that (and me being lazy with the disc).

One of the best games of the last 10 years for the price of a pipe of Pringles.
