I'd say the same applies to Megan, moreso in fact, except then the press torpedoed that one. 

Any dislike I have of the Royal Family is dwarfed by my dislike of most of the UK media, who seem to be the only ones the Royal Family are scared of.

The mayor, during his news conference seemed completely baffled by it, trying to toe the official line but just thinking what the rest of us are all thinking.

I'm not seeing much that actually contradicts their statement. The mayor has called the incident reckless and has said that it very well could have ended in the death of a couple of their police officers.

Seems people are imagining two hours of that scene in Bullitt, when it is more likely that the high speed bit only lasted a few moments, whilst the harassment by paparazzi likely went on much longer.

As ever, any story about those two people needs to be about whipping up hate for them amongst a public that really know bugger all about them. What should be talked about is why do the paparazzi think they can treat people like meat, why do we as a public let them, who buys their work and will they no longer be working with them, and what rules should be in place to control the way they work. All questions that aren't going to be asked until something like this actually does end up in a court of law following a serious incident (and probably not even then - see current phone hacking case that isn't really being talked about or, you know, his mum).

Blame South Park for this, but I can only imagine them ploughing through an otherwise unbothered New York yelling “WE DEMAND PRIVACY, GUY!!!”

The royals don't age well do they. Harry is starting to look like what you get when you create a character in Dark Souls and put half of the sliders to minimum.
