If youre far enough on, the one uncle lou was talking about is worth doing. You fight three tough dudes at once and they all give you a weapon and an armour set.

Which chapter? I think I'm on either 4 or 5. On a rainy level where you kick boats. I did a couple of subs ages ago but nothing for ages. I also realised after the fire level I hadn't leveled up my armour. So I went from +1 across the board to +4 and +5s

I dont think Ive 100%ed a main mission yet other than the first one. Some of the flags are ridiculously well hidden. There's a few missions I actually gave up looking for the last flag. Couldn't find them anywhere. The Lu Bu one I just did was the first one in a while where I've actually got them all. |

I've seen an attribute on an item that said "reveal battle flags" or something like that, not tried it, though.

The 'reveal enemy' one is pretty useful for finding them/other stuff, too. Theres usually a mook lurking around a prize so you can just follow the red dots you havent killed yet.
Its also useful for spotting whether or not a door will take you to a boss or not.

I know this is pretty dumb but I've been playing this on resolution mode. There aren't very many frame rate drops and it looks much better on my TV in resolution mode. If I struggle on some.boss then I'll go back to FPS mode.

Tried resolution mode, it’s rarely at a stable 60, and certainly not in battles. Find it extremely choppy, and quickly changed back to performance mode.

Wasn’t able to play in the week (you’re welcome, I’ll continue to keep you all updated on my play time) but after a solid hour of banging my head against the first boss I eventually sailed through on an almost flawless run. Good to be back playing the actual game again.  |

Tried res mode last night. Ran fine on the flaming city level but didn’t notice it looking any better so just popped it back on performance.
Talking of the flaming city. Boss was a joke. Good fun though.

It does seem to have odd difficulty spikes when it comes to bosses. Early days for me of course, but the next few missions didn't have anything close to the level of the first boss (I didn't first try anyone or anything, but I think they took less total attempts put together than the first boss on his own) and it sounds like Lu Bu is a similar case compared to what comes before and after him... |

Yeah the first boss and lu bu both took like 15 ish attempts. Everyone else has been 1-3 attempts and yeah the last three full missions done and bosses with zero deaths.

Was going happily along until a certain boss decided to do 5 million lightning attacks when I had zero wood resistance. That cost me a lot to re-equip, but now at least I can cosplay as Guan Yu.

I think I might have binned this for now. I went to play it yesterday and the new pc patch made the game crash so spectacularly that it won't launch any more.
I could carry it on with the Xbox version but it really pissed me off.

The Xbox version is a touch janky. I’ve had a few hard locks and the loading times are atrocious.
It does feel like it needed a bit longer in the oven. Just basic things like having a second panel for comparing gear not being there is getting in my nerves.

I posted my low quality cheese method on the previous page. You have to whittle them down until the dual sword guys dies and you can fight the other two without the camera flipping out.

I came back a bit later and did it relatively easily with higher stats. Once you can pretty much take one out with one stun attack then you can take one down quickly which makes the whole thing much easier.

I’ve just been following the main story but now there are a bunch of sub-missions at and under my current level. Worth a go, or just filler? Most recent boss to go down was the General of Heaven. Nothing has needed more than three attempts since the first boss.  |
