Yeah, it's a shadow of Nioh 2 but you are talking about one of the greats there. I really, really enjoyed it. Lu Bu aside. Fuck that guy. Funny, I thought Lu Bu was one of the best because it was a straight skill testThat there is my problem with it! No cheese, no happy Feline. Seriously, though, I just remember it being overlong and fairly tedious. And I think he was far enough along in the game for deflects to have been learned already, wasn't he?

Funny, I thought Lu Bu was one of the best because it was a straight skill testThat there is my problem with it! No cheese, no happy Feline. *cough*Ominous Chill*cough* But yeah, he was far enough for someone to have learned deflecting, assuming they engaged and weren't just... ahem, boshing it He was also the game's way of telling you "Okay, buddy, that's not gonna cut it anymore. If you don't at least become decent enough to get past this guy, you'll have a bad time later. Learn now!" but in a way that felt much less... roadblock-y, so to speak, than other such cases, because (to me, at least) the fight ended in a "Holy shit, that was awesome! And I beat it!!" feeling rather than a "Oh, fucking finally..." one

Lu Bu was my favourite boss in Wo Long by far.
I probably preferred him to all the Nioh bosses as well.

For balance I thought he was awful. Dumped the game on him as I didn't like that normal hits basically did no damage to him.

Oooft. Final boss of the 2nd DLC is kicking my arse. He hits hard, is fast as hell, has a million moves and has a melee combo that can seemingly go on as long as he fucking likes. Oh, and a second phase.

wunty, if you think the 2nd DLC final boss is hard (which he certainly is), wait until you meet the 3rd DLC final boss...

Not even going to reach the 3rd DLC the way this is going! I must be missing something. His attacks largely use Water Phase, use Earth Phase spells and abilities of your own to cancel them out if you can. The projectiles especially cancel out when colliding with anything Earth, be that a barrier or buff around you, a projectile of your own etc. Other than that... Go to NG+ and on to get better equipment and levels then go back down? That's what I did before even starting the DLC... And it still didn't help against the 3rd one's final boss...

Yeah good idea man! I might leave him, do what I can in the 3rd dlc then go into ng+ for a bit. Could do with a better weapon.

Yes, this is good. The character creation is so detailed. Also, I've got my umbrella from Lies of P. That was unexpected

So. Killed Taishi Ci in Demon from. Finally. Tried his side quest in human form. Ha. Nope. Now made it as far as the final main boss of the third DLC (Yuan Shu). Don't actually know I've got it in me. Took everything to get through his phase 1 and then... Yep... Phase 2.

So. Killed Taishi Ci in Demon from. Finally. Tried his side quest in human form. a. Nope. Now made it as far as the final main boss of the third DLC (Yuan Shu). Don't actually know I've got it in me. Took everything to get through his phase 1 and then... Yep... Phase 2. You may already have seen my earlier posts here about Yuan Shu... All I can say is, sounds about right... Only way I was able to get through him was lucking out on a 5* version of Taishi Ci's longsword Premier Virtue (its unique Weapon Art really helps), NG++ levels and equipment in general, a decently tame moveset from the boss (for instance he did his electric dance in the second phase 3 or 4 times, if you get behind him he's wide open while doing that) and plenty of deaths to practice... Oh, and a full 10 of the secondary healing item Dragon's Cure Powder (although in my winning run I actually didn't need them) for safety, and the one that heals Element status in case he grabs you and you somehow survive it. Luckily there's pretty quick farming spots for both (can't remember where though)

I haven't even gone into NG+ yet so I may have to pop him on pause for some time...!
I find that he is at least still susceptible to heaviness meaning I can then combo the fuck out of him and get him to flinch. Is there a place I can buy / farm the cure powder?
Oh wait you've said you can't remember. I'll look it up!
