Getting a bit further in nioh 2.
From what I can tell is in wo long demon steroids are bad and in nioh there good and u want more and also demon horses.
It's going to be hard to go back to from soft after playing these games.

Your character just so happens to be able to actually control them somewhat because reasons (there is an actual reason but it veers into spoiler territory). |

I've won a contest held by the Koei Tecmo twitter team where I submitted a short clip of a useful tip to give to other players while playing the demo. Nothing too major, just a t shirt, but did think it's funny considering I haven't played the full game yet..

A bit off topic, but: the new PC version of Team Ninja's Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy does not have *many* reviews on Steam yet (650), but they are "very positive". I think I need to give the demo another try!

It's great - for the main campaign anyway. Balance-wise it goes off the rails when you hit the DLC but up to that point the game itself is super fun. You get so many options and different fighting styles, I think it is a much more successful attempt than Wo Long to take the Nioh 2 formula and make it more accessible for people. Then everything requires level 200 all of a sudden and that goes out of the window.

Other sites reporting there are two more expansions in the works, slated for release in September and December. Season Pass also available IIRC. Edit: Apparently there was also an update I missed a couple days ago which, among other things, lets you swap combat arts on your weapons at the blacksmith! I remember some griping about that so that's a nice addition  |

I might rebuy it at the end of the year once all the DLC is out. Sadly my interest in it fell off a cliff when I finished it and had zero urge to replay it, which was a pity.

To be frank, after finishing it (and getting the missing collectibles/achievements) I did not play anymore (I think I beat the first boss in NG+), but I'll return for the DLC...

The house of FE is waiting for the third one to come out to binge them all. I'm liking the look of the sort-of-roguelike mode they put in though. And fists as a weapon type make my Nioh 2 neurons tingle |

Had a look at some gameplay of this and a lot of the enemies seem to be cool animal designs
Having said that, you saying the enemy variety is lacking compared to Nioh is a bit concerning as that was already an issue in that game

Third DLC now has a trailer, and is scheduled to release December 12th!
Time for anyone waiting to binge them to jump back in! And Kusarigama enjoyers from Nioh will probably find something that resonates with them...

Started the DLC's last night and finished the 3 main missions of DLC1. Took me a bit to get back on the horse and relearn to block/parry anything; having recently played Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen back to back kind of screwed with my Wo Long memory muscle, but thankfully I got there... Boy, I'm really, really glad I saw the end of the big major boss there (mission 3), that thing was a freaking menace that leaves ZERO openings  |
