I think this may be a bigger debate than transgender people in sport. Time to lock the thread.

As Kal said, it depends on the quality of the cream. Some do not hold their shape well at all.

Jam then cream, it tastes nicer. I've tried both multiple times and have no dog in the fight, but cream and then jam just doesn't taste right to me.

We're talking about clotted cream, right? 'Cause if not, that's a whole other discussion right there.

What if I have no preference on the jam/cream debate?
I'll just take it as it comes. I'm a scone slut like that.

I'll take both ways too, but if I'm doing it myself I'll do jam then cream.
Clotted obviously, there's no debate there.
My friend tried to argue that for structural reasons the best way is cream then jam. I really don't understand how there's much difference, I even did both in front of him and he was still adamant about the structural integrity. People will argue in order to breathe sometimes.

Why stick with cream though. Let's use custard.

Will this bad faith culture war never end?! Nope. As soon as Cornwall achieves independence it will declare a creamy war on Devon

All these scone-related posts, and we haven't even touched upon the pronunciation issue?
Do we even culture war, bros?

What if you put them side by side instead?
Isn't the point to somehow mix the cream with the jam (or the other way around)? Having them side by side is the worst

Maybe blend the jam and cream beforehand.

Or use your tongue as a mixer before you bite down.
Easy.
