I'm plugging away at this, somewhere between T3 & 4. Can play in T4 but will just randomly go from 100 to 0 HP now and again. I think once I'm ancestral in all the slots I'm effectively done for the season, got no plans to grind out for mythics, or get much north of paragon 200. Had to laugh when I saw the xp curve to 300, 200 isn't even 10% of the way. Fark! I can't even step up into Torment 2. Where were you going to get Ancestral drops? They seem annoyingly rare in T1 (and I'm too slow to kill in T2 to make it worth the while) but none of the endgame activities is getting me where I need to go. Also had another go at Echo of Lilith. I can trivially get through the first phase (doesn't even have time to summon) and in the second phase she's down to 25% health in a few seconds but then no matter where I stand or how I evade about I die. *shrug* |

This has got it's hooks into me again. The Spiritborn is pretty cool. I've gone all in on poison, and it's quite good fun.

I've not even picked up the expansion yet. Not had much time to play but I'm having fun dropping in every now and again with my minion necro and wandering around on Penitent, smashing stuff with my golem. The season theme is a bit meh, preferred the horde one last season so I'm only around l56

Ancestral stuff seems just to be random in every activity, am not doing anything specific to find them. I'd probably use The pit to up your glyph levels if you're having trouble going to T2.
Lilith now is just about positioning, she will basically get 3 hit in T1, but you can't bypass any phases. After phase 2, you stop hitting her and move to the platform she is standing on, jumping off just before it collapses, while avoiding the blobs floating around. Repeat a couple of times then finish her off on the last platform. It's a bit annoying as if you mess up it's insta death.

Yeah. Super annoying. Had literally 20 attempts and no matter where I stand or when I jump off it’s instadeath.
Anyways good to know Ancestral is just a bit tight full stop. I’m up to Tier 35 in The Pit. Maybe I’ll up that and run some more for glyphs (the new upgrading system for these feels much better btw).

Am I right that they've gone to a percentage chance based on pit level above glyph level like it was in D3 for leg gems?
Do you get bonus chances if you have a death free clear ?

Think I'm about done with this season, this realmwalker thing is a bit toss really and the dungeon thats instanced afterwards is artistically cool but dull AF. I think they've slacked off on the season theme this time, probably thought they could since they dropped the xpac. Not so great if you didn't buy it though
I'm about 140ish paragon with 4 leg glyphs and a 5th about to come online. Im still officially squishy for T4 but with 3 incenses and a potion I can kite it.

Finished the expansion campaign the other night. Reminded me why I loved Diablo in the first place. It was great. Got my Spiritborn up to level 56 so far and still got an absolute fuck load to do so quite happy to keep going with it. Haven't really played D4 since the second season and they've definitely improved things since then. Just feels a lot more enjoyable.

Glad to hear it! I wanted to try out Spiritborn, but I have a whole cast of discarded alts < L30 that I just bounced off of. I needed something new. Something different to make me stick with it... ...so I decided to roll a Hardcore Spiritborn and go for the achievement for getting a toon to Level 50 on Hardcore.  Diablo hasn't been *that* engaging for a loooooong time. Getting to L30 was hairy, but the final 20 levels actually weren't toooo bad until I started levelling rapidly but my gear wasn't keeping up. The. Fucking. Butcher. OMFG. The bastard appeared twice, and I only just squeaked a kill each time. I stopped doing dungeons in the end, it was too stressful knowing that I might accidentally activate a pillar and he'd rock up again. See also: additional health elites and DoT elites. Proper heart-pounding stuff. Anyways, probably took me 12 hours over the last week or so. Maybe a little more. Loved it. And love the Spiritborn, too. Such a good class. I'm sad there isn't a D2-esque option to convert Hardcore to Lowcore character, but them's the breaks. If I want all of these achievements, I'm gonna need to put another 200 hours in to get my Necromancer main to Paragon 300. But I'm at least somewhat satisfied to have put the Hardcore one to bed. :-) |

Worth it just for the altars if you're one that never collected them. They're account wide so once you have them all unlocked each season journey is kicked off instantly with free skill unlocks.
