Yeah, I can vouch for 2018 being ace. Near the end already after only starting it on Monday.

There's another GoW series but no one plays that.
...Deep breaths, they are only words... Hah. Duff was giving me shit the other week for playing the first on PC š

The opening 90 minutes are so good.
I can understand the misgivings of the ps4 holding it back a bit, but when it is this polished and engaging, I can easily look over it.

While I like the fact that Atreus now does his own climbing, I kind of wish we could've had an awkward scene between him and Kratos before that was decided upon.

This just gets better and better and better. Set the bar for these triple A exclusives impossibly high.

Really enjoying this after playing more a bit later than I should have but man, I do not like those small pink enemies that come in groups. Fucking irritating because they move so quickly and interrupt your every move.

The little slug looking cunts that come in groups of 3 or 4? Blades of Chaos work a treat on them. Equip, spam R1, profit.

Does Film Grain do anything in this, I honestly canāt see a difference?
Iāve got an LG C1, set up the way Vincent demands it.
Finally able to get on this after helping to look after my 2 year old niece most of the day. But now completely knackered from the non stop activity and constant vigilance needed when minding a toddler, everything is a death trap.
Wadda game thou! If I am gonna spend Ā£70 on a game at least itās supporting the demand for quality single player experiences like this.

I turned film grain off, because I always do. I like my games to look like games so I turn off that as well as Chromatic aberration, motion blur stays on though.

Loved the part in the canoe when Atreus Does an impression of daddy, there has already been some great humour between the two.

Speaking of which: Atreus: Is it always moral to kill someone who's trying to kill you?
Kratos: Yes.
Mimir: Well, there you have it.

3 hours done. Underwhelmed so far. I mean it's obviously great fun, beautiful, polished, well acted etc etc but I don't know it's not grabbed me. Outside of the amazing scene at the house near the start I've not been that interested. I feel the interactions between the main two are still the same and it's god of war 2018 1.1. Tlou 2 was a much bigger change between titles for me.
I'm sure I'll end up loving it though as it gets more and more epic. Mr judge is so so good as kratos.

My enthusiasm dipped a bit last night, as I started to get '1.5' vibes from the side quests and puzzles - not helped by the fact that I only played the previous game about 12 months ago - but I'm still having a great time with it thus far.

20 hours in and it's still finding new ways to surprise me. Just when you think you have the game figured out it takes you out of your comfort zone and throws a new curveball at you. I feel a bit sorry for whatever PS exclusive is next to release as this is going to take some serious topping.

Amazing what a few years, virtually limitless budget and a supremely talented studio can do.

Enjoying this well enough so far but my primary feeling about it is that much like the predecessor it'd be better if it didn't have the over the shoulder camera in combat

I always felt more disconnected from the action with camera of the old games.

Raven of Odin why do you mock me. Canātā¦move on.. until I find..you
Can understand the GoW 1.5 views, but I am enjoying it mightily. I like this kind of game and am into the Norse stuff, so i am easy to please here.
Iām still a bit shit at the combat.

I'm not sure what anyone was expecting that is saying it's more of the same. I would have been pissed off if it wasn't, there are more things that get introduced to expand on the originals gameplay.
On a side note, one particular character you meet has some absolutely stunning spell effects.

Following on from my previous comment (not really a spoiler, but I'll tag it as such to be on the safe side): I went looking for an option to delay/turn off Atreus hint line after the first time he told me what to do before Iād even turned the camera around. I was surprised I didnāt find it, itās so prevalent.
