Back in the EG forum days, a user by the name of Elathron dropped a ton of weapons, armour and materials for me, which combined with the bottomless box glitch powered my characters for years. I still have an x360 unpatched installation for this very reason (not sure if the console still works)... I had the same save on my ps4. I had bloody loads of everything. I fondly remember dual wielding two +5 chaos shotels from the loot. They were marvellous. Alas, that save is now lost to time |

I just noticed that large club 1h R2 does no knockdown. It's a horizontal swipe, but with good range. And it's still easy with large club to block, hit Y and then do a 2h R2 for ULTIMATE BONKNESS. So playing with a shield is still cool with large club. I also noticed that I have Demon Great Hammer + 14 on this char Too bad you can't see anything with that thing on your shoulder. |

It's a shame MP doesn't work anymore in Prepare to Die edition. I want to gank some level < 10 noobs with my lightning + 5 longsword. I killed Four Kings as level 10 character only for this, and they took it away from me  |

Unfortunately, you can't bonk through Darkwraith's shields, not even with Demon Great Club +15
But it staggers them at least.

For the longest time I thought the souls bonus was only awarded on killing enemies with a backstab or riposte, but it seems you merely have to do 150% of their health as damage. Large club 2H R2 with 50 strength doesn't cut it for the Darkwraiths, but Great club 2h R2 with 50 strength does.
Also, it seems that knockdown effect is somehow dynamically calculated based on damage as well, because I can knockdown some enemies with Great club 1H jump attack, but not the clams in crystal cave, they only get knocked down with 2H R2. They do die in a single hit with 1h jump attack, but their death animation is different.

Isn't that down to whatever the Poise equivalent is in 1? Maybe the clams would have enough of it to take a jump attack without knockdown but not the 2H heavy, assuming they didn't die?

Yeah, it's probably that. They only have 30 poise, though. I guess poise damage is fixed per weapon then and does not change with stat bonuses?

I think the FontGeek saga I remember most intensely (to the surprise of few to nobody, I'd imagine), was everything that happened with Chris/spacein_vader, as heartbreaking as it was. From his journey through his condition and his demeanor through it all, to the fundraiser we contributed to, to the little Space Invader tribute on our logo (thank you Tomo!)... This place is a little floating lighthouse out there in the darkness sometimes.
