The only complaint I would have is, no Sonya??? But at least my boy JC is there to punch fools in the balls. She's a Kameo fighter, so an assist character only. |

Yeah, bit bummed about Sonya. Mained her all the way through MK11. I'm still excited, tbh. Kenshi, Li Mei, Havik, and Reptile all looking pretty sweet. And a Van Damme skin for Johnny? Yeah I'll be mainlining this on release with Bloodsport on my other monitor  |

I would have preferred they made a character like Rambo or Terminator rather than a skin for Johnny Cage.
JCVD is perfect for Mortal Kombat, have his moveset from Kickboxer and Bloodsport with all those facials. (not that kind)

He doesn't look right to me either which is a shame.
I think it's because the skin is attached to Johnny's model and it makes some of the expressions seem a bit weird.

Yeah, I've seen that said a lot across social media since the reveal, so obviously something isn't hitting right for folks. Guess my eyes must be going, because he looks the absolute double of early-career JCVD in Bloodsport to me. /shrug.
Just replayed through Aftermath this afternoon for some story hype. Had forgotten how dark that got lol

He looks right to me also. I think it’s the in-game lighting. In certain stills, like the one EG used for their header image, he looks off, but in motion in that trailer he looks like Bloodsport/Kickboxer era JCVD.
I do wonder if apart from the lighting, people are taking how they know the man to look today and fusing that with their memories of him, leading to the disconnect.
