I know not everybody gets the weekend off work but it always strikes me as a complete arse when anything entertainment related is released on a Monday! |

I’m liking it more and more as I progress and have now sucked up the lower frame rate for quality mode. Some of the particle effects are jaw dropping. This isn’t doing my plastic addiction any good as I now want to collect Thousand Sons |

Cd keys eu code available but same price as shop to. The uk and ww codes are still unavailable but they have changed the price from £36 to £49 anyway for those codes.

I did have a crash last night halfway through mission 2, it got stuck on a loading screen - luckily loaded the game back up and checkpoint was saved. Enjoying it so far, only get an hour or so at night so the missions are just about the right length.
To anyone who has played the Operations and multiplayer games - how long does each last?

Also fair warning for those planning on co-op, the opening level/tutorial including cut scenes probably last 45 minutes to an hour before co-op play opens up.

Completed 3 missions with my son tonight on normal. It isn’t hard but also has some spikes at this difficulty. We have both been downed a couple of times but no mission failure.
Decent launch as in no crashes or problems teaming up.
It’s good but not great. One of the worst bits, which acg mentioned, is the audio mix. It’s terrible. Individual sounds effects are fine but how it’s mixed all together is awful. The animations have such impact and weight to them but the sound is just always off the mark.
The campaign is nice and epic feeling and the combat flows nicely but feels like it’s a 7 at the moment, which is fine and my son seems to be enjoying it.

Played the intro mission. Thought it was great although I'm a bit pants remembering the parry move and died a couple of times but will hopefully get into the flow of the combat.
Meaty, loud and nuts. Seems to be running smoothly so far on my PC.

Just had a real surprise of a boss encounter that felt like something out of Souls. Quite epic. And quite frustrating! Anybody wanting spoilers it was a Tzeenchian Hellbrute! I was half expecting the Necrons to get involved after discovering the tomb city , but so far no cigar. I do feel that there’s enough here to warrant some story DLC but I bet they never do it. |

Just did my first operations mission as a space wolf bulwark with two others. Was long and fun and it seems to have crashed at the loading screen to end the mission so I’m guessing I’ve lost all the reward for that last hour of gaming. Great.
It eventually loaded and I got my rewards.

Completed level 3, trying to do one a night. No idea how many total mins. It’s quite hard isn’t it? Playing on default and I ‘proper’ died about 3 times. God know how I’ll do an Operations mission if they are that long. The Tyranids are much less ‘readable’ from what I remember of the Orks. Can’t get the hang of partying at all, and screw shooting enemies.

Well I've had to restart as couldn't finish the prologue on Veteran as it's too fucking hard (yeah, yeah, git gud...). Just swarms of nids and far too difficult to clear them all. I wanted a power fantasy, not a fucking chore. Hopefully better on default.
It's a beautiful looking game and I am enjoying the combat itself, just need to tone down the difficulty.

Okay, normal difficulty for me then, got through the prologue with only one death this time, felt tricky but not unfair. No doubt it's a skill thing, but veteran just felt far too hard for me and I wasn't enjoying it.
Had to switch off after opening mission otherwise could see it being middle of the night before I knew it. Very good so far, feels very meaty.

Was a bit about it on ACG's podcast as one bit is practically impossible solo on veteran as someone has to use a flamethrower and it does not do enough damage and the bots don't do enough to help.

Games are generally so long these days and life so stressful that sweatiness is reserved for the occasional bouts of multiplayer here. Normal difficulty all day long on anything!
