Violet bastard boss blind (extra large blind) has wrecked two games in a row now on ante 8. I even rerolled once from a slightly tricky sounding one and got him instead.

Awww man, got 9.6m vs 10m blind. So close ;_; This was wild run where basically my entire deck became Hearts and I was smashing out Straight Flushes and Flush Houses.

I don't understand the Magic Deck. Had 3 runs now but can't get it to sing.
Start with Crystal Ball voucher (which means 3 tarot/planet slots) and start with 2 x The Fool.
It feels like it's trying to guide you down a heavy Tarot path, but it's so heavily dependent on what the first few shops contain I'm finding it hard to exploit.

19 hours played still only one win, getting a bit defeated now. I've had some good runs but just run out of steam right near the end, I'm trying to get a good mix of mults, chips and multiplyers, while upgrading hands, but I've had some real bad runs of jokers.
I've even had lots of money, done plenty of rerolls, skipped blinds when the reward seemed worth it, but nothing more useful than what I already have seemed to come up, and yet the blinds keep increasing.

I've played for a good bit more than that and I'm still nowhere near consistently winning. I've managed wins on the basic colour decks, but some of them took a ridiculous number of attempts. Probably doesn't help that I've stunted my progress a bit by switching between switch and Steam though.
Some of the jokers you start to unlock can really make for some utterly silly builds. Fibonacci was great to get a decent multiplier started (and it works well with steel cards too), then throwback to multiply the shit out of that, then blueprint to duplicate throwback. Plus some of the vouchers you start to unlock can make a huge difference. The extra joker slot one looks like something to aim for to make games easier. (buy 10x blank vouchers)

I've played for 9 hours so far. I've won twice, but the runs where I haven't won have barely got beyond Ante 5. You really can fail easily if you don't find synergistic cards within the first few rounds. It's harder to rescue decks as you go. That said, when you hit a build, the game explodes.
I seem to have a natural tendency towards Straights and Flushes as well as making tonnes of cash. Crank up the multiplication Mults and it becomes very efficient.
I've been deliberately trying other styles tonight: Pairs, Face cards only, etc. but with limited success so far.

I've had good results tilting towards pure flush builds. Does depend on getting flush maxed and skewing your deck as hard as you can (or getting lucky and finding the red/black joker)

Gah. Had Fibonacci and 8 Ball jokers there, but couldn't get enough money to get Tarot cards to convert my other cards into 8s.

Ok bedtime. Got to Ante 10 on my last run, albeit it was a slog, with a clunky collection of Jokers which set all my cards to be Face cards and then I was doing repeated Straights. Money generation from discarding Face cards too, which meant that as I milled my deck for Straights I'd get money in the process. Ultimately defeated by 840k blind as I was struggling to get enough Straight/Face boosts to keep it sustained.
Those Spectral cards are weird too. Very destructive the ones I had. Clearing out 5 Jokers for a single Rare one is quite a drastic play. Guess if you've got money in the bank, you could pivot ALL your jokers to a new tactic with Rerolls.

Jeez, didn't realise it was 2 aahahaha. Must've spent a good 6 hours or so on it today, in between bobbing about the house.

Well, much as I'd like to get this on Switch, our ratings board has decided that it encourages gambling. So I'll have to wait.
Oh well, I've got plenty of Switch hentai games to keep me occupied in the meantime.

Flush decks seem like they should be should be an easy win, but I always seem to struggle to get them to really sing. Love the joker that makes all cards of the same colour count as the same suit.
I really want to do a cash money based build. Jokers gain 1 sell value every round and the one that increases multiplier based on sell value of jokers looks like a fun bit of synergy. Could be viable with a few extra joker slots thanks to negative jokers/vouchers maybe. The joker that lets you have additional copies of the same joker looks like it could be fun too...
Can't stop thinking about it even when I'm not playing...

I agree Flush decks are a bit of a struggle. I think it might be because you end up Flushing with lower numbered cards which inherently score less whereas when you're playing Straights it's much easier to do with the Face cards.
I really wanna have a deck based on Four of a Kind or Full House. There are quite a lot of ways of creating duplicate cards, but thinning out your deck so they become prominent is hard. I got one deck down to about 44 cards through a Tarot card which destroys two cards, but the run ended prematurely anyway.

Having said that, flush is ridiculously easy with the checkered deck, as you don't need to waste a joker slot on smeared joker. Which also has the bonus of nullifying the boss blinds that debuff diamonds or clubs. (smeared joker can absolutely fuck you up with those bosses)
Just had a fun run with checkered that started off with adding 3 levels to flush for skipping small blind. Yoink!

My new favourite joker... Utterly cracked until I got to ante 12 and had my arse handed to me. Ended up as 10 million for playing a single card Magic deck was handy for starting off as I got the fortune teller joker early on, so had an instant boost to mult. Can't really see the point to it aside from that, though (the extra consumable slot is one of the least useful vouchers unless I've missed something)

Building for specific decks isn’t the endgame winner, especially when you hit boss blinds that do things like debuff repeated hands. Go by the engine building from the jokers you get and make it reasonably generic (though light targeting of a specific hand from planets is fine). Get the right engine built and the cards don’t matter at all, you can win an ante 8 boss on a single high card if you have it right.

I find it more interesting trying to make a deck idea work than just going with the flow of Jokers, as I'll mostly just end up doing Straights. Obviously, you have little choice in harnessing the Jokers you're offered, but I do like trying to crowbar the Jokers to fit what I'm trying to do. Think I'm losing a fair amount as a result, but it means my naff runs are pretty short.

Why would you want to keep it without using it? Only reason to do that is to game the tarot that duplicates your last card.

Just won my first run. Blue deck, Diamonds, Fibonacci, favoured Flush hands, converted as much as I could to Diamonds and a bunch of them to Bonus cards and wotnot. Loved it. Rode my luck a few times, but couldn’t beat the 160K ante in endless mode.

Still not being able to play this, I noticed Hentai Golf: Ultimate Edition on the eShop front page. I like both of those things!
It's 86% off too, who wouldn't pay 5 dollars for some hentai golf?! It has:
-Three amazing girls that will cheer you up after hard day at work -Classical golf gameplay -40 maps with unique layouts -Energetic soundtrack
And I get the DLC with the girls in their winter outfits! Fucking sold, who needs Balatro

They must have caught wind of the terrible odds on the wheel of fortune card.

It actually worked twice in a run for me, without the odds adjustment joker. I should probably buy a lottery ticket with that luck!

Finally won my second run! Only took roughly 14 hours after I beat my first one. It's like the story of the centipede who thinks about how he walks with all those legs and can't walk anymore, but then painstakingly relearns how to do it bit by bit until he's not only back to how he was he can dance and do the hurdles. Except with more swearing.
Looking at my build it's a hodgepodge. It's got the joker that doubles odds which I used wheel of fortune on successfully a few times. Coupled with the joker that has 1 in 4 odds of upgrading the played hand, now at 2 in 4 odds. The joker that gains x0.25 mult for skipping blinds, so I did that quite a lot. 2 negative jokers, 1 the half joker the other I don't think helped at all except it was another uncommon joker and I had the joker that makes uncommon jokers x1.5 multi.
All in all it felt like it might not be enough because I didn't have any chip jokers, but the multiplying kept scaling up and the hands kept getting upgraded to somehow bypass it. Both times I've won now I've used a lot of multiplying jokers, it's just I've found it really hard to come by them!

The multiply Jokers are by far the best. They can be super situational though, but when you unlock them they are really powerful. I had one last night which added 0.5X per card sold, BUT it resets every round. With a lot of cash, you could harvest Tarot and Planet cards, then flog them all and get enormous multipliers. I think that's a long game Joker though. It's not going to help you much in first 3 or 4 Antes, till you've got the money to make it work. Beautiful Joker for endless mode though.
