You should! Don't listen to the naysayers. Unless you're a die-hard From snob, it's a great game. I bet if people weren't aware it had a different director, they'd think it was great

It's worth playing for sure. It's by far their worst game but still better than all other soulsborne games except nioh 2.

Yeah it's well worth playing. There's a load of good stuff in there but it's not a patch on number 1 Just a solid 9 out of 10

I beat the shadows of yharnam earlier. I either have never beat them solo or never played it that way or totally forgot how it went.
I just slowly killed the sword one but then when that one got low they changed to fire swords, had snakes on them and raised giant snakes out the ground. I kinda think I remember it but at the same time during the fight I was like "wtf is this shit!?"
Beat the game about 8-9 times and I was shocked.
Currently returning back to logarius? after getting him to about 1/4 health..such a shit boss run to get back. Zzzz.

Ha yeah, they're full of surprises depending on how you approach them. On my second or third playthrough I met their compadre
I've never liked Logarius. He feels like he's in the wrong game.

Is it because he's difficult
In all seriousness though, his intro cinematic is really cool, as is what happens after the fight

Yeah completely. Mechanically and thematically, however, I find him jarring. And he's not that difficult if you get the parries rolling.

Love all the story behind it. My character is full vileblood. The name, the armour and weapons are all vileblood. I have many many many gifts to give my queen when I free her.

What's the name?

Cainhurst in general is pretty incongruous with the rest of the game tbf, but Loggy is the worst offender

Sweet lord the hammer wrecks Amelia. Did it for my son and I never knew how much it staggers her! Considering her size half of my hits were interrupting her attacks and it made most of the fight trivial.
He is still struggling way more than sekiro.

Beat ROM, one reborn and Amy today. God these bosses are so much more annoying than sekiro bosses. Beat them all first time but they are all not fun in the slightest. ROM has all those spiders and the various annoying arcane attacks. One reborn as often the case with BB bosses the main battle is not the boss but the fucking camera. Amy is mostly above you and each time now I just cheese it as it too annoying to fight normally as again with its position and the camera most of the time you can see the attacks coming. Cage head next!! Time for the poison knives. Another bs boss that you chase around for ages for him to then aoe one hit you. I do love it when I have a build to beast roar him though.

I really like that chunk of the game, as it's when most builds start to really take off and you can get a +9 weapon or 2 built. As you say though, the bosses are poor compared to the early game, which is a shame as it'd be nice to thwack something challenging, balanced and ungimmicky. Always the DLC I guess.

Pretty much on the last boss on Ng++ Such an epic game but there is definitely 100% more bs than in sekiro. In sekiro you can master stuff and feel like when you die it's okay, you messed up. Sooooo many times in this 9th or 10th run I've died and wanted to smash the pad into the TV because I felt the death was total bs with the camera or something and not because I messed up. Just that hunter prick on the bridge before minocash? (I'm drunk) was such bs. All those dick heads before you get into the main castle as well. Still it's maybe their best game but with sekiro I feel like you can master it.

I bounced off Sekiro pretty hard, despite really wanting to love it. It wasn't scratching the From itch, or the reborn Tenchu itch and it swung from really satisfying to ARRGH MAD/10 in any given 5-second period as a rando trash mob was either felled brutally or made you feel like you were 8 years old after you broke mum's favourite porcelain frog figure, with a solid thrashing.
More than that though, I wasn't quite sold on the atmosphere. Bloodborne sets the tone from the Start button and never really breaks form. Dark Souls has the excellent first half+. 2 and 3 have some breaks that really spoil the vibe, but Sekiro felt a bit ... cheap? Or something. It's hard to describe. It's probably just me tbh. But I couldn't get invested the way I did with the others.

I'm trying to work out where you are with "hunter on the bridge before minocash." This is worse than the guess the game thread
To be fair to BB, you are drunk - I don't think that's the camera

I couldn't get past the chained ogre edit: In all seriousness, I didn't care about the setting either but the gameplay is really satisfying. I'm a bit of a masochist with From games though and it was during lockdown so it made me feel like I was achieving something

It was fucking annoying to play though.

Bloodborne finally complete, as in all main and dlc bosses beaten twice (NG & NG+1) and all fixed Chalice dungeons done too. What a game!
I was relieved to have a much easier time from the five dlc bosses despite their raised stats. Perhaps I finally Git Gud?
Giddy from my victories I thought I'd bring it to a close by trying the two playable cut bosses: Great One Beast and Moon Presence (final form). The former looked awesome but didn't have the health to back it up. Clearly unfinished, especially in his attacks department as they would hit with no indication of how. So onto the creepy Moon Presence as a fitting True Final Boss and I'm ready to lay the smack down.... and I blooming get smashed to pieces more times than the whole of the dlc bosses took to beat on NG+1! Goddammit he hits hard, I couldn't believe it...I was still a shit gamer after all. Eventually I found the safe spot (really took far longer to find it than I should have done) and banished the Nightmare, but the shame was great. A more suitable final challenge for me than I thought it would be.
So long for now Bloodborne. You are up there with the very best!

Came back to this last night after a month away and ended up at Logarius. He's a bit tough. Got him down to about 25% one go but think that was more luck than judgement as he wasn't doing any jumping around or throwing hundreds of spears. Need to go farm blood vials now...
