It’s beautiful but I still think that the original has a weirder, creepier vibe to it. It feels more “real” to me, if that makes sense. Like you’re a visitor in a strange world

Still shouldn't have changed 5-3 music. That was one of the highlights of that area.

Yeah, there are hints of the music there but it's nowhere near as powerful. I don't feel as guilty as I should when I launch 7000 arrows into her face from near the start of the area as I should and I think the music is to blame.

I'm going for the plat for this just for something to do before Elden Ring. Talking of rings, I have to get every ring. Including one that because I didn't get the digital deluxe edition for, I have to trade a pure bladestone with the crow. That's just harsh. But as it happens, I farmed the Adjudicator skelly and got one after 30 mins, which isn't bad going at all. So got that ring, traded a gold coin for another ring, now I'm doing Mephistopheles quest for another ring and I'll aim for pure white CT after that to get the Ally's rings from the monumental.
That's all do-able and will get me all the rest of the rings I need.
Apart from one. That I get from killing Doran.
How the fuck do I kill that cunt. I've aggroed him proper now and he one shots me when I try to chip away his health. I thought he was weak to plague so tried using my +5 baby's nail but it does nothing. I take it I need plague mist or whatever it's called, or is there another way of doing the prick? I do have it but will need to level some shit up before I can use it.

You can cheese Doran by luring him out and pushing him off the ledge. You can also trap him between the wall and first catapult and then chip away at his health for any easy kill.

The first stage is fine. It's when he aggroes again after dropping below 50%HP that he's a nightmare. I'm going to have to cheese him aren't I.
I barely take off any health a hit which is part of the trouble. Hmmm. Actually. Am I right in saying that if my CT is pure black, I do less damage?

4-1 kicked my mage arse twice last night, I now have a load of late moon grass to have another go this evening.
I was staying up hight but when locked on often can't see the tongue attacks coming.

Also, I think 1-2 is the best earlyish grass farming spot. If you turn round from the bonfire, you can backstab 2x blue eyed knights which always drop some.

Yeah, the penny just dropped. That should be the easiest boss in the game for royalty. Just dont get greedy and caught in a cast animation when he tongues you.

Either is viable. Down below you have to hit the wound on his left side. You'll know when you're doing it wrong as your weapon will make a rubbery boing sound instead of hitting normally while you're circling him

High. Dont get anywhere near him if you can help it. If you are going to farm anywhere, farm the jail for MP potions so you dont have to sit there like a dickhead, waiting for your magic to recharge.

Oh I need to do that as well. Some of the trophies are killing the bosses a bit differently, one being sniping the Adjudicator's chicken and killing him that way. Another one, that I got last night was killing the False Idol by not attacking any of her clones. Another one I need to punch Dragon God's head in with the Hands of God, and I need to take out the Tower Knight without killing any archers.
Quite like this approach to trophies tbh, it's almost like little challenges instead of just grinding your way through NG cycles or grinding covenant items.

I find it very fast to just get 5k souls quickly (kill the grim reaper at the start of Ritual Path for example) then buying them for 300 from the guy standing in the corridor outside that room (assuming you freed him in 4 1). |

If you are royalty, the best grinding spot in the game is just after that. You can keep going back to the storm king arena and soul arrow one shots those flying manta ray things.
With the ring of nuff extra souls, you can get 100k in like 15-20 minutes.

Yeah that is a great area for sure for farming once it’s clear. The entire section getting to it (Ritual Path) was a right pain. I found 4 1 and 4 2 really tough.
