Since this is bumped, can someone also confirm that having the Bell Demon item in the inventory (and the relevant mark under the health bar) basically means you're in New Game + in terms of enemy strength?

Because if it does there's a good chance DadFE has been unknowingly busting his nuts (and winning!) against NG+ tier enemies since before a certain oversized, shit-throwing monkey, which... would make him a bigger badass than either of us ever knew, honestly

Not charmless thankfully (he'd need to have finished the game for that, I think), but yeah, he's got it. And we'd never have known if we hadn't randomly decided to check if he had something else...

Yeah it's a bit beyond me tbh. Embarrassingly the boy always did better than me. He was able to nail Inner Genichiro and Inner Isshin and I couldn't even GET to them!

I have started Sekiro this week. Enjoying it. Just been served my arse on a plate by a guy with a big spear. Got a new power up to jump on the spear or something, so need to git gud and figure out the timing etc.

It seems pretty stingy on the health potions compared to Elden Ring though. Take a few whacks from the minions and you're a bit fucked when it comes to any of the bigger nasties.

Plugging away at this. Just smashed the big git on the horse. Probably had one hit left on my health so that was super satisfying getting him down.

Also smashed up spear boy. He was a tricky little prick.

How did you find drunk fatty and the butterfly lady? I found them very difficult first run and Genichiro caused me so so much grief I avoided him until I exhausted all other routes. Good luck!!!!! X.


The other day I started a no death run and much to my amusement a actually died to maybe the first group with a rifle. I was being so over confident I just went for some crazy air attack and got sniped mid air just before the death blow. . Still looks great on the x at 60fps and that slightly higher resolution (1400 I think).

Gotta say, the combat mechanics are possibly the best in any action game I've ever played.

To my knowledge, I can't remember a game based so heavily on parrying with such an emphasise on fast, brutal fights? It's like my dream has basically been realised of wanting a single player adventure based on PS1 Bushido Blade.

Seems really bold of From to develop a play style, which is so counter intuitive to all the things gamers have learned playing so many 3rd person games with smashing. You can't just spam combo attacks between holding block. Instead my eyes are laser focused on the tip of every enemy weapon.

I just hope it doesn't kick my arse too hard further down the line... Pray for me.

Genichiro done. Awesome boss that, albeit I just went ham on him and ignore the lightning stuff. I loved that basically there's not point in recovering your posture. Just deflect deflect deflect. Felt proper shinobi.

Also smashed two of the mad things with wolverine claws and committed genocide on a gathering of apes.

Thoroughly enjoyed Kuro querying how many times you've died and come back to life. "Two? Maybe three times?" glol absolute troll

Tomo I envy your skills mate! Took me years to finally beat Genichiro and then months to beat the Ape and you've done both in mere hours! KUDOS!!!
