I'm not entirely confident of my ability to pull it off after being away from this for so long, but I'll give it a good go 😀. At least the access to that fight is really close upon dying, so I'll have a few warm up matches. I've already reinstalled Sekiro last night, so will fire it up later today. I'm interested to see if the jump to 60fps on PS5 helps out too.

Genichiro the dirty bastard. I just beat him in the intro when I have both arms for the first time (just let myself die before) as I wondered if you could beat him. Turns out you get a different cut scene and the coward needs help to stop me.

Owl father was the hardest fight for me as he's got a lot of weird tricks that mean you can't just toe to toe him like you can other enemies.

I found Owl Father pretty tough too, possibly harder than the final boss
He seemed to have a very extensive moveset and a couple of attacks that initially looked the same but were completely different and needed different strategies to overcome. If you picked the wrong one it was game over every time

You kind of can but yeah it requires a little more thought than just parries. You also need to dodge quite a bit and mikiri counter and jump. Double ichimonji is pretty decent against him. So this mornings Ng+ run I've just beaten horse boss and it's the first idol I've rested at. . |

Going to have a proper go today. My small session yesterday had me killing the shinobi hunter first time. I've not actually died yet. I'm sure that will change very soon.

Main issue is his firecrackers which you kind of have to avoid differently depending on how close you are too him. You can get a mikiri counter off super easy if he's a long way away though, provided you spot the symbol.
Second phase is actually kinda straightforward though, that fire bird is very punishable.
I think if I ever play this again I'll just cheese Demon of Hatred though, fuck doing that properly again.

No matter how close you are a single backwards jump avoids the fire crackers then as you say easy mikiri counter straight after each time. |

I was able to do this by quitting out of the game right after he kills you and reloading - it puts you back right before the fight. I'm pretty sure they patched it so that it autosaves after you die though ha
The cutscene you get when you beat him fits the story a lot better
Which is your preferred ending by the way? I haven't seen the Shura one so I hope it's rubbish

Just start a new game. You can blast through Sekiro pretty quickly once you've got it all down. I think my first playthrough was 20-30 hours. Second only took about 10 or 12 I think. Plus you feel like a beast! |

I just distinctly remember looking at my completion times for my saves and one being a third of the length. There was nothing rapid about my first run. As easy as I found Sekiro in the end, it was nails hard the first time |

Quite weird how I'm seesawing from awesome to shit. Chained ogre, the sub boss after him and then horse wanker all went down first try no problems. The lone shadow that guards the raven feathers though? Destroyed me time and time again. Also, I tried the horse cunt again, this time through the idol, and he's mullering me.

Have you tried the firecracker, mortal draw method? Ahhh, just got so close then. I think I panic when Isshin does that move where he lights up the whole arena with plumes of fire and then flies forward with a thrust attack. Sometimes I've been tagged by the fire running around trying to find a space or whilst jumping, and I just died then whilst trying to leap away from that thrust and crazy slash attack. Got him to half health then too. Shit. *Nope, haven't tried Mortal draw actually. I've been going between Ichimonji double and Whirlwind slash, both free of cost to use in order to save my Emblems for tool use. |

bichii I finally defeated Emma and Isshin last night, at last 😭! Finally found my mojo again. It was a bit scrappy at times,, but overall I think it went ok! As you suggested, I used Double Ichimonji against Emma, then Whirlwind slash against Ish phase 1 and then added my own input by using Shadowrush in Ish phase 2, before switching to Mortal draw, as you'd suggested, when the my Emblems ran out. I finally got the trophy for that boss fight and the Shura ending too! Woot! I recorded the footage: Thanks for all the help! I need to work towards the Owl Father ending now...
