So you enjoy free games from Amazon, yes? Here's the December batch.
I played JttSP when it was on Game Pass, but didn't really like it. Morkredd is pretty good, but you better have good left-right hand coordination. And I guess Stubbs was already given out by Epic some weeks ago. It's also weird to see Telltale games being given away - who's the new rights holder again?

Epic is giving away the Hunter Call of the Wild and something called Antstream - Epic Welcome Pack, which seems to be an attempt to lock you into paying microtransactions to play ancient arcade games online rather than just, you know, playing ancient arcade games online in your browser for free.

Frostpunk is fun for 10hrs or so. ...and then gruelling, agonising, but strangely compelling for the next 20 or 30 or so. At least for me. |

Already had Godfall base game but 'bought' the challenger edition because why not. Well turns out why not is a pretty bad thing here. If you add challenger edition to your account then Godfall base game stops working properly. When you login to your regular story character it says you need to upgrade to deluxe edition which includes the base game to play your character, the challenger edition does not include story content. Correction: This is a result of the latest update 4.1.9, not the challenger edition itself. In short they are forcing everyone over to the 'deluxe' edition if you want to continue your existing story characters or boost to lvl50. |

I'd contact Epic support. The mystery game will be available on the 16th and is... i was really interested in I and II fifteen years ago, but since I haven't played those, I can't help but thinking III will be a waste of time. |

Not really clear what that means.
Does it just mean launch the Fortnite game from the epic launcher and go to the in-game item shop?
Which means I'd have to install Fortnite on PC?

You have to click through the wrapping paper and that to get it, I think. Definitely have to click a button to claim it. And I heard there are unlimited coupons again this time round. Probably Darkest Dungeon 2 for me, in that I'm getting a deal but can defer playing it until it gets a full release. Future-log. It's not sitting well that I have games in my backlog that are getting sequels in 2022. |

I just 'bought' the Shenmue III easily on my mobile browser and it then gave me my coupon (after first batch of complaints on here and before later ones so maybe I hit a lucky time).
Not sure what to spend coupon on as I got Darkest Dungeon II last time. Hitman 3 would be tempting but my complete 1 and 2 are on Steam so I would have to pay more to get them available in game so will leave it. It's a shame the purchases weren't tied to your Io account rather than the store to get around this.

Trying to decide if I should rinse the Epic voucher scheme to pick up The Outer Worlds (£6.49), Detroit: Become Human (£4.99), and Death Stranding (£9.24). Possibly also Alan Wake Remastered (£9.99)
Obviously, I'll never get round to actually playing any of them. No risk of that.
