At first I had problems with the first boss but then killed her, 2nd boss was much easier and took it down first go. Almost took down the 3rd boss, will need to upgrade a bit

I had a quick blast before bed last night. It's very good but I'm not sure if it's the kind of thing that will hold my attention. Love the art style and soundtrack though, and yes, it's incredibly satisfying to play. I'll give it a bit. I had exactly the same reaction, played about 3 hours and just gravitated to other things. Can 100% see it's a great game it just didn't click

I absolutely loved this on Switch, saw the credits (takes a good few complete runs) then I fizzled out on it at the 40 hour mark. It was a weird one because for 39 hours I didn't feel like I'd need another game again. Then it just died. I think it was because I could pretty much beat it every time. It's quite easy when you spam dash attack albeit carefully.

For me, the "had enough" point was when I could kill the final boss with Extreme Measures active.

Quite enjoying it so far. Definitely scratching that itch that's been there since I rinsed Returnal.
and you can save! Good lord I've never been so thankful for a save state.

Played this and managed to finish a run. Never really gotten into roguelikes but I loved this! The characters and the voice acting is what does this for me.

First boss has done for me twice but I fully worked her out on that second run. Almost won after walking in with 7 health.

It's genuinely quite annoying that it didn't stick, all the ingredients are there but my brain is being a lil' bitch about it
Guarantee I end up grabbing it on PS4/5 at some point and having the same thing unfold because I am a moron

Supergiant are just so good at all the presentation stuff. Writing, artwork, acting are all fantastic. I'd like to see what they could do outside of the isometric indie stuff

So does this just autosave to the last room you were in if you turn it off?

Lost to the second boss twice now - but it's pretty close. And, yeah, the second area felt a lot tougher, still does, but it's incremental progress with these games - getting my second level of death defiance has made a difference.
I've been trying out various weapons but each time I don't use the Eternal Spear I miss it - probably as I got lucky with some very powerful boons / upgrades and at one point was melting the mobs (before dying, of course).
Really enjoying this. It's made me put Death's Door to one side for now at least.

One trick to the second area is learning how long it takes before the lava damages you. Providing you're dashing, you can stay on it quite some time without taking damage.

I am absolutely cack at lava in games so it's pretty much hell for me.
That boat thing you have to get on is fucking insanity too. I feel like I've been catfished with the first area.

It's when you get a room with a load of the bomb-chucking guys and other mobs. I need to work out a better strategy because several times these have decimated my health.

Bomb chuckers telegraph their attacks and are easy to avoid. You can focus on mopping up the other stuff first.
