Hah! Have all those bands been convicted of noncing then, or just the "headliners"? There's some bands on the actual line up that appear in the one you linked too.

Say Alkaline Trio and Taking Back Sunday in Glasgow on Wednesday night. So we could drink and not do a 6 hr round trip in the same evening we got a cheapy hotel so it was all quite civilised. Can't say I rate TBS all that much, it was all very meh. Decent enough but not particularly memorable.
Alkaline Trio were superb however and despite the fact that it was a joint headliner, I reckon most people were there for them, judging by the reception.
That's them and The Offpsring ticked off my list recently. Next up in a couple of months, Green Day. Whoop.
Should have seen Dropkick Murphys last month but that's next year now.

I used to love AT, but I drifted away from them from about Crimson onwards.
But I saw them live a few years back (actually, about 8!) and they were storming, even if I didn't know quite a few of the newer songs.

Yeah same. Dont know much of their newer stuff but there was more than enough of their earlier stuff to keep me happy. I was over the moon just with Continental tbf, everything else was a bonus.

Went to see Yard Act again last night having seen them in mid Feb.
First gig at Village Underground was awesome, but it was not as good last night at EartH. For one they (the venue, not the band) had a ridiculously overactive smoke machine, to the point even when I was quite close to the stage I could hardly spot the drummer. The sound quality just wasn't up to scratch too which was a real let down as I have been to gigs in there before which have been fine.
Saw Dehd the week before last and they were excellent live. They seem to be able to make songs which even on first listen (and they played quite a few new tracks) sound like songs you've known for years. And not in a formulaic way, they just seem to have a sound which is both new and reminiscent.
Warmduscher tomorrow night should be a blinding show, and hoping to get down early enough as Benefits are in support and I really want to see them live (I'll be sure to take earplugs).

I’ve got Every Time I Die + The Bronx in February and Anthrax + Municipal Waste next autumn so far. Still unsure I how I feel about going to gigs with big crowds if I’m honest. Last week I went to my first gig since COVID started. This week: I have COVID.

Wasn't even that amazing a gig either. Goldfrapp playing "Felt Mountain" in it's entirity, which is probably my least liked album of theirs.

Just back from Alabama 3 at The Warehouse in Leeds. Was really child 1's idea but since I was chauffeur I took the opportunity too.
Small venue, maybe 300 or so in the crowd but intimate atmosphere was great.

Warmduscher a couple of weeks back were amazing. They might not be the tightest band in the world, but their gigs are more like a party than anything else. The Lounge Society were the opener, and did a great set. Benefits were another level - hard to classify but it's acoustic drums with synths/computers through tons of pedals, creating very loud, harsh, but melodic soundscapes, topped off with an angry Northerner effectively reading poetry. Mesmerising. Before Warmduscher came on there was an alternative fashion show / drag acts / live techno combo all keeping the crowd warmed up for the final act. And as usual, they absolutely smashed it. Mixing the more disco/dance tinged new tracks with some of the harder pit favourites, all dripping in sleaze, they kept the crowd dancing from the second they came on stage till the house lights came up. Easily my gig of the year until..... Protomartyr last Saturday night. Missed the opening act, but got in in time for Traams. They were that good I wouldn't have been disappointed if that had been the main event (the only complaint was I wish they had been on longer) - will definitely be seeing them again! Protomartyr were on another level though. They are so good live, ridiculously tight and despite front man Joe's minimal chat and rather dour on stage demeanour, his presence is immense (as are his jacket pockets, they seem to old an infinite volume of cans). The fact they have Kelley Deal joining the band for this tour (on guitar, keys and vocals) was just the icing on the cake. The sound quality was incredible (went up to thank the sound engineer at the end of the night, and turns out he tours with the band) and the crowd was excellent. Spent quite a while in the pit before my energy flagged and found myself on the barriers, where I managed to snap a couple of half decent pics. https://www.instagram.com/p/Ccf4jiqqwyV

Anyone know any decent rock/punk/metal pubs in Bristol around the Temple Meads area where you can while away a few hours waiting for a gig to start?

Foals tonight. In London.
It's been delayed for two years. Thankfully, my boy still likes them, despite moving on to more grime-related tuneage.
Going to be a bit odd being inside with up to 10000 folk after the last few years! 😀

Just seen Alan Partridge live in Birmingham which I absolutely loved.
I've got tickets booked for Nine Inch Nails in June in and then DIIV in August.
Ignoring the fact I'll probably be riddled with covid I am massively excited for the shows.
