Yeah, as much as I like to see touts get fucked over*, they sure as shit won't be selling these for the same price they were originally released at.
* Although I guess the touts just got a refund, and given their nature of being massive cunts probably won't pass it on to whoever they sold to. Surely a lot of these people won't find out until the day that their ticket isn't valid if they don't follow the news?

I don't buy any of the brothers excuses in the original fiasco (that they didn't know there would be dynamic pricing etc) - they have been in the business long enough to know how the ticketing companies operate and the options available.
I'm assuming Ticketmaster were the only option due to connections with the venues, but bands of that size have sway to set things up as they like. Maybe they can't pick the selling platform, but they can certainly influence pricing setup.
On the one hand I feel sorry for anyone who's bought a ticket of a resale site and might be out of pocket, but if they didn't buy from Twickets (the only official resale outlet, where you can't charge more than face value - the only good thing they did setup) they were taking a risk.
There are always other options - use a platform like Dice or setup a lottery access. But they are greedy, the press makes them

I saw Inter Arma with about 30 other people in a basement in Brighton last night. They were awesome and so loud I had to check my earplugs hadn't fallen out.

I wonder if there will be any buy-back option for the punters because otherwise all this latest Oasis news does is screw over fans who were desperate for tickets while presumably letting the touts face no consequence. Its not like the touts will refund anyone who is getting their ticket deleted.

Strongly doubt they'll offer a buyback option because Live Nation and Ticketmaster are cunts.

Saw Thom Yorke at one of his "Everything" solo shows in Melbourne last night. Was absolutely stunning. His voice is as beautiful as ever. He played a mixture of Radiohead songs, his own solo stuff, a few new tracks and one or two deep cuts (Rabbit in Your Headlights was an unexpected treat), all the while switching effortlessly between piano ballads and thumping techno. The highlight for me was an acoustic version of Airbag, which he actually got the audience singing along to towards the end. Magical. The crowd were great actually, really into it, you could hear a pin drop during the quieter songs. He's still got it, such a talent.
EDIT:

Soft Play were fucking excellent tonight (I randomly popped into the cinema beforehand so had a strange double bill of events) 😂
For two guys, they make a phenomenal amount of noise.

Currently at Henge in Nottingham. Support act Mr Vast has just finished, more Mighty Boosh style performance piece than music act. While I was typing this, he's walked past with a phallic, asteroid helmet on, squirting water over everyone.

Palaye Royale at Wembley arena, it's their first time headlining a large arena and they smashed it. We were supposed to see them in Camden a few years ago and the car broke down at the services on the way there so it was nice to get to see them finally. He decided to sing a song whilst crowdsurfing in a rubber dinghy which was amusing, he also jumped from the rail in the seated area into the dinghy at the end 😂.
Support bands were all people I haven't heard of. Hot Milk: pretty good and had a couple of excellent songs. The Hunna: absolutely brilliant and I will be going to see them next year when they tour here. See Stars: not bad, weakest of the 3 but still very watchable.
All in all an excellent night and a good drive back home with no issues which makes a change as they always close one of the motorways at night usually.

Big fan of Hot Milk. Their album A Call to the Void is well worth checking out.
Saw Kids in Glass Houses this week. It takes a lot for a band to really leave a lasting impression on me these days but man they were really fucking good live.

The lady in hot milk was great, she saw some one in the crowd struggling and stopped to make sure they were ok (as often happens). She then called for someone to hand out water and then did it herself instead 😂

Saw Randall Munroe (xkcd) do a talk last night in Worthing. I'm guessing some people here might actually know who the fuck I'm talking about unlike anyone I've mentioned it to in person.
Was good, though had a Wimpy beforehand which was massively overpriced. A burger, chips and a Pepsi came to over £15. But yes, Randall was great, if a little nervous at first. Got a free copy of his What If 10th Anniversary book that came with the ticket, which we didn't know was included, so that was a nice surprise.

Nice! I saw he was touring but don’t think he made it up here.
Was it mostly material from the books or was it original stuff for the stage?

Nice! I saw he was touring but don’t think he made it up here. Was it mostly material from the books or was it original stuff for the stage? It was mostly talking about him, how he got into doing comics and then into answering crazy questions. Delved into how he worked out the answers to a couple, with some side tangents, then there was a Q&A with someone who I didn't know but a lot of people seemed to know. It was thinning pony tails galore.

Went to the theatre to see Warhorse today.
Those are some excellent puppets. People laughed, people cried, there are some really good folk songs in it, World War 1 looks like it was a miserable time.
Would recommend.

Yesterday I went to the theatre to watch the new Les Miserables Arena Spectacular tour. First gallery seating wasn't cheap, but what a great time for sure. Donnelly as Valjean was particularly impressive. I also very much enjoyed James D. Gish and Gavin Lee as Enjolras and Thenardier, respectively. Pretty much everyone was great and infused a lot of energy to the show though.
Shame the second part was always more boring than the first part, but it's also fairly short, there are still a couple good songs, and the finale always hits right.

Amyl and the Sniffers last Friday were amazing.
I first saw them in 2019 playing to about 150 people and instantly fell in love with them. Amy is an explosion on stage and the band play so well together. Since seen them play several times in increasingly large venues and this was the biggest yet, with them doing 3 nights at the Roundhouse in London.
There is surprising range in the set for a punk/pub band and they know how to work the crowd. Came home drenched in sweat as even though I struggle to do a whole gig in the pit these days, we couldn't stay out for long.
