I'm clearly being a bit thick here, but I no longer have any new races/trials open to me in the campaign. Every conceivable route is blocked by Secrets that I don't seem able to access yet? I've clearly missed something with regards how to unlock them.
Edit: Ah, okay. So I need to have the necessary car and then complete the mission stated in the conditions.

I noticed you can drive around enviroments ignoring a race, I spent about 30 mins exploring the boss 1 stage. lots to see. But I didn't find any secrets. Are you meant to?

I'm finding this a little meh so far. Racing itself is good fun but progression is bullshit with a clear monetization model incoming (coins for real cash surely is on the horizon), car stats seem to matter not a jot and there are a ton of minor things that are just rubbing me the wrong way in the UI and overall design. Some tracks are great but some are horseshit as well.

Some of the later tracks are so unforgiving. I had an easier time getting through Nioh.

Yeah, I pretty much gave up on it when I got to the time trial ones at the top of the map (the bit with a vertical line of quick races next to a vertical line of time trials)
Haven't been back to it after rage quitting on one of those.

The AI really likes blocking you, quite frustrating. Especially in corners where it's hard to manoeuvre

Enjoying this, although I am a bit rubbish at it. It's very unforgiving - slight mistake wipes you out. Good fun though. Not enjoying my son kicking my arse though. Little fucker

It gets easier once you get dialed in with the drifting.
Then it gets much much harder.

First secret unlocked, and picked up the TMNT Party Wagon in a blind box. Fucking hate TMNT, the game is taunting me.
Mini had too high a centre of gravity it turns out after a dozen races. 24 Ours is where the action is at for me now.

It was one of the first cars I unlocked so I e kind of neglected it but the RocketFire is by far my favourite now. 3 boosts on legendary too.

Just picked up Rocket Fire, but also Bad to the Blade which looks like it could be the GOAT if I upgrade it once or possibly twice.

The Blade is too skittish for me, it doesn't sit into the drifts.
I done just dropped the DeLorean boy howdy.

Legendaryised the Blade. It went from three boosts down to one, which sucks. But it's so easy (for me) to drift that you can make it up fairly quickly. Just waltzed to a first place with it on the first go. Probably still prefer 24 Ours on balance, but nice to have options. |

The DeLorean is disappointing. They could have at least put some flames tracks when you boosted. And the boost sound effect is awful.

Second boss smoked (by the Blade, which is amazing, and you can all shut your whore mouths) and starting to get some real momentum now.
